Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan receives Heydar Aliyev, Vice President of the Heydar Foundation.

On the morning of April 22, at the Presidential Palace, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan received Ms. Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation (Republic of Azerbaijan), who is on a working visit to Vietnam.

Recalling the 1983 visit to Vietnam by the late President Heydar Aliyev in his capacity as First Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Soviet Union and the official visit to Vietnam by President Ilham Aliyev (in 2014), Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan affirmed that Vietnam always values ​​the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Azerbaijan, which has been diligently nurtured by generations of leaders of both countries. The State and people of Vietnam always appreciate the valuable assistance of Azerbaijan to Vietnam in the cause of national defense and development, including human resource training.

Expressing delight at the continuously strengthening good relations between Vietnam and Azerbaijan, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan affirmed her determination to further deepen bilateral relations, promote multifaceted and substantive cooperation with Azerbaijan, commensurate with the good traditional friendship and potential of the two countries.

The Vice President highly appreciated the Heydar Aliyev Foundation's contribution to the development of bilateral relations, with many projects supporting culture and education in Vietnam.

The Vice President expressed confidence that, with its role and prestige, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation will continue to play a bridging role, actively coordinating with Vietnamese partners to promote cooperation between the two countries in the future, including protecting and promoting cultural values, healthcare for the people, education for the younger generation, environmental protection, as well as charitable and humanitarian activities.

Expressing gratitude for the Vice President's time to receive the delegation, Ms. Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, said she was very pleased to visit Vietnam, a country with a long history, rich cultural identity, and resilient people. She emphasized that although Azerbaijan and Vietnam are geographically distant, the two countries have always had good traditional relations, nurtured over many generations, with great potential for cooperation in various fields.

Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation affirmed that the Foundation always values ​​the promotion of humanistic and cultural values, considering them a sustainable foundation for enhancing understanding and connection among nations; he expressed his desire to accompany Vietnam in specific initiatives, contributing to consolidating traditional friendship and expanding cooperation with Vietnamese organizations, especially in promoting environmental, educational, and cultural initiatives; he was impressed and highly appreciated the Vietnamese Government 's attention to human resource training and the care of people with disabilities when visiting several educational and training facilities and facilities for people with disabilities in Vietnam.
