Attending the opening ceremony were comrade Nguyen Huu Que - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. Also attending were representatives of leaders of a number of provincial agencies and units, leaders of Dien Hong Ward, representatives of the Parents' Association, the Board of Directors, teachers, staff and 2,250 students of Nguyen Du Secondary School.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Bui Huu Nghia - Principal of Nguyen Du Secondary School said: In the 2024-2025 school year, the school's Board of Directors has made many innovations in professional guidance, implementing quality and effective educational programs, while focusing on improving the quality of teaching and learning. The school has implemented a synchronous educational program, especially continuing to implement the 2018 General Education Program in all grades, achieving good results, meeting the learning needs of students.

Accordingly, in the last school year, the percentage of students with average or above academic performance in all 4 grades reached 98.4%; the percentage of students recognized as graduates reached 99.1%. At the City-level 9th ​​Grade Excellent Student Competition, the school had 25 students winning prizes; at the Provincial Excellent Student Competition, 9 students won prizes. At the Provincial English Talent Competition, the school's students excelled and won 1 Second Prize. At the Provincial IOE Competition, 9 students won First Prize, 22 Second Prizes, 29 Third Prizes and 20 Encouragement Prizes; at the same time, 1 student won a Bronze Medal in the National IOE Competition (for students in grades 8 and 9). In addition, the school's students also achieved high results in domestic and international Math competitions, specifically: Top 1 nationally and Top 14 globally at the Asian Math Competition (SASMO); National Excellence Award of International Mathematical Olympiad (IKMC); National Gold Medal of TIMO and Silver Medal of American Mathematical Olympiad (AMO).

In addition to impressive results in studying and scientific research, the school's students have also achieved many outstanding achievements in emulation movements, extracurricular activities, social work, and the Youth Union. Humanitarian and charitable activities to help the poor and support remote areas to overcome natural disasters are also widely deployed. In the 2025-2026 school year, Nguyen Du Secondary School has 2,250 students, including 572 sixth graders; the total number of staff, teachers and employees is 91. This is the first school year the whole country has transformed and implemented a two-level local government; at the same time, it is also the first school year to implement the Resolution of the 14th National Congress of the Party; the school year the whole country implements the Resolution of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development.

Realizing the importance, while identifying the advantages and difficulties intertwined, with the spirit of maximizing the achieved results, the new school year promises to take place in a positive, proactive, creative, and self-conscious atmosphere in learning and training of students, along with the high determination of the staff and teachers.
