(Chinhphu.vn) – On the morning of August 19th, in Quang Tri province, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Dong Hoi Central Social Housing Project.

In anticipation of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Dong Hoi Central Social Housing Project in Quang Tri province, held on the morning of December 19th, was honored with the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung; Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Phuong; and Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh.

The project comprises two 15-story apartment towers with a land area of ​​approximately 8,750 m2; a construction area of ​​3,460 m2; a total floor area of ​​approximately 51,648 m2; and a total floor area of ​​approximately 35,655 m2 for social housing.

With a projected population of approximately 1,940 people, the project includes 560 apartments, each ranging in size from 36 m2 to 76 m2. The total estimated investment is nearly 637 billion VND.

Regarding the projected progress and implementation timeline for the project, in the third quarter of 2025, the procedures for approving the investment policy and assigning the investor to implement the project will be completed; the overall land use plan will be approved, and the feasibility study report will be prepared.

In the fourth quarter of 2025, the following procedures will be completed: land compensation and clearance, land allocation, approval of the detailed design following the basic design, issuance of construction permits, bomb and mine clearance, and commencement of construction.

Construction of technical infrastructure and water supply and drainage systems is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2026.

In December 2027, the basic construction investment for the two apartment buildings will be completed; the project will be put into operation and handed over for use in 2028.

With reasonable prices suitable for low-income earners and the highest quality in its segment, the project promises to become an ideal residential spot in the heart of Dong Hoi ward, Quang Tri province.
