The conference took place on the afternoon of February 18, 2025, chaired by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. Attending the conference were members of the Politburo, members of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Ministers, Deputy Secretaries of the Government Party Committee, members of the Government, leaders of ministries, branches and central agencies.

At the 9th Extraordinary Session of the 15th National Assembly, the National Assembly highly trusted and approved the appointment and the President issued a Decision to appoint 02 Deputy Prime Ministers: Nguyen Chi Dung, Mai Van Chinh; 04 Ministers: Construction, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ethnic Minorities and Religions, Agriculture and Environment.

Speaking at the Conference, on behalf of the Government, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh warmly congratulated the comrades who were appointed, assigned work, and given new tasks; believing that they will continue to strive, make efforts, promote their strengths and experiences, and continue to contribute to the common cause.

The Prime Minister clearly stated the tasks of the Government in the coming time and requested that members of the Government always promote the spirit of proactiveness, flexibility, creativity, efficiency, building an honest, clean, and people-serving Government; promote the spirit of solidarity, unity, clear thinking, high determination, great efforts, drastic and effective actions, say and do, commit to do, do and do with specific, measurable results, do each task properly, complete each task, clearly assign people, tasks, time, responsibilities, and products; excellently complete all tasks assigned by the Party, State, country, and people in 2025 and the coming time.

The Prime Minister also congratulated the former members of the Government who were assigned new tasks by the Party and State, sincerely thanked them for their active contributions and dedication, and hoped that regardless of their positions, they would continue to accompany, support and assist the Government in achieving its goals in the coming time.

On behalf of the newly appointed members of the Government, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung respectfully thanked the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, the General Secretary, the National Assembly, and the leaders of the Party and State for their trust, introduction, approval, and appointment to the positions. Emphasizing that "they must have aspirations, a bright mind, and a fiery heart", the newly appointed Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung affirmed that the appointed comrades will seriously comply with the guidelines, policies, and laws of the Party and State, the leadership and direction of the Central Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, the National Assembly, the Government, and the Prime Minister, and coordinate well with agencies in the political system to together successfully fulfill the tasks and responsibilities entrusted to them by the Party, the State, and the people./.
