The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) of Nghe An province recently had a meaningful visit and work in Xieng Khouang province, Lao PDR. Here, the VBS of Nghe An province announced and presented the decision to appoint Most Venerable Thich Tho Lac as Abbot of Santiphab Phonsavanh Pagoda.

The trip was not only an annual Buddhist exchange activity but also had a special mark with the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the first Vietnamese pagoda in Xieng Khouang. The pagoda was named Santiphab Phonsavanh Pagoda, affirming the strong spread of Vietnamese Buddhism in Laos. At the same time, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Nghe An province also announced and presented the decision to appoint Most Venerable Thich Tho Lac as Abbot of Santiphab Phonsavanh Pagoda.
