Phu Dong Ninh Binh FC officially lifted the 2024/2025 National First Division Championship trophy at home in Round 21. On this special day, coach Nguyen Viet Thang's team also created a goal-scoring feast with a 3-0 victory over Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc FC.
This victory not only extended Ninh Binh's impressive winning streak but also made the race for second place – and a spot in the play-offs – exciting until the final round.

Ninh Binh had an incredibly impressive season, becoming the absolute champion of the league with a historic record: 18 wins, 1 draw, and no losses, scoring 38 goals and conceding only 2, reaching 55 points after 21 rounds (the final round – round 22 – was an away game against Dong Thap ). The burning desire to win the championship transformed Coach Viet Thang's players into something akin to a "winning machine".
Even though they secured the championship early in round 19, Ninh Binh continued to perform brilliantly, most recently with a 3-0 victory against second-placed Binh Phuoc . If they win again in the final round, the new champions of the First Division will conclude their historic journey with the longest unbeaten streak and almost a perfect number of points.
Ninh Binh will embark on a new journey in the V.League in the 2025/2026 season, which is expected to start in August 2025.

Following their defeat in Ninh Binh, Binh Phuoc FC failed to achieve their goal of securing a playoff spot. In fact, the race for a playoff spot between Binh Phuoc and PVF-CAND remained tense and exciting until the final round – round 22.
On the same day, while Binh Phuoc suffered a 0-3 defeat, PVF-CAND secured a 1-0 victory in Khanh Hoa. This win helped coach Thach Bao Khanh's team narrow the gap to just 1 point (40 compared to 41) behind coach Quoc Anh's team.
In the final round, both teams, playing at home, Binh Phuoc and PVF-CAND, will host Long An and Dong Nai, two teams that have already secured their place in the league.
The battle at the bottom of the table has finally yielded a clear outcome, with Hue FC securing relegation. Although Hue FC fought hard until the very last match to cling to their slim hopes of staying in the league with a 1-0 victory against Ho Chi Minh City Youth team, they could not change their fate.
With 16 points, the same as Hoa Binh FC, Hue FC finished last due to a head-to-head loss. Furthermore, Hue FC did not play in round 22, while Hoa Binh FC faced Ba Ria Vung Tau. Hue FC, a team with a long history in the First Division, had many opportunities to move up the table, but they failed to capitalize, and their efforts in the final round came too late.
