Expectations for a more active, people-oriented Front that understands women better.
On the eve of the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, from the grassroots level, many officials of the Vietnam Women's Union have expressed their hopes for a Front that is more active, closer to the people, understands women better, and is more sensitive to the pain and difficulties of vulnerable groups.
Ms. Do Thi Phuc, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Nguyen Van Linh commune, Hung Yen province, said: “I expect the Fatherland Front to continue coordinating with member organizations such as the Vietnam Women's Union to build more economic models suitable for each region; support preferential loans and vocational training so that women have the opportunity to develop their economy through their own labor. Programs supporting the construction of "Homes for Poor Women" will be further promoted, helping poor women and single mothers have the conditions to settle down and stabilize their lives so they can confidently develop their family's economy.”

Miss Tourism Hoang Huong Ly expressed her expectations for the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) in its decisions and actions regarding women and children: “Children are a vulnerable group that needs double protection, both in terms of love and legal support. I expect that the new term will see more programs to educate , nurture, and protect children, while also supporting sustainable livelihoods for women, ensuring that no one is left behind.” Sharing this view, Lawyer Dau Thi Quyen, Director of SOLA Law Firm, hopes that the new term of the VFF will delve deeper into substantive social welfare issues, protect women and children, provide legal support to the community, monitor social issues, and strengthen social trust…
Over the past 15 years, the Vietnamese community abroad has grown stronger and stronger. More than 2.5 million Vietnamese women in 130 countries serve as a strong bridge, bringing Vietnamese values to the international stage and strengthening national unity in the new era. Ms. Phan Bich Thien, President of the Vietnamese Women's Forum in Europe and President of the Vietnamese Women's Association in Hungary, pledged to stand alongside the nation to build an increasingly strong national unity, contributing to enhancing the country's standing, so that we can all be proud of the name Vietnam…
Enhancing the role of the Vietnam Women's Union in the national unity bloc.
Vietnam is undergoing a transformation, entering a new era, a new age, towards the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2030) and laying a solid foundation for the vision towards the 100th anniversary of the nation's founding (1945 - 2045). In this general context, a large number of Vietnamese women, upholding the traditions of the descendants of the Trung Sisters and the eight golden words bestowed by President Ho Chi Minh – "Heroic, indomitable, loyal, and capable" – confidently step into this new era with extremely important roles and responsibilities.
Therefore, the report presented by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union at the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front emphasized that, in order to continue promoting the role of the Union in implementing the Action Programs of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2026-2031 term, in the coming time, the Vietnam Women's Union at all levels will focus on implementing 7 key tasks, including: Organizing the timely and effective implementation of the Action Program of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; improving the quality of social supervision and criticism; organizing "Women and the Law Day"; participating in and organizing the "Month of Listening to the People"; implementing activities to support and promote gender equality and strengthen social welfare work, especially in mountainous areas, remote areas; and women and children in difficult circumstances. To improve the quality and effectiveness of monitoring the implementation of gender mainstreaming in the National Target Program for building new rural areas, sustainable poverty reduction, and socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas during the period 2026-2035.
It can be said that, with the group of 7 key tasks, in the new term of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Vietnam Women's Union at all levels will play the role of a solid "bridge" between the Party, the State and the People, gathering the great national unity; continue to strongly promote the role of social supervision and criticism, especially in the implementation of policies related to gender equality and women's rights; strengthen the protection of the legitimate rights and interests of women and children in cases related to domestic violence and abuse, contributing to building a safer living environment for women and children...
“When the ‘common home’ of the Vietnam Fatherland Front is warm enough, women in disadvantaged areas will have more motivation to rise up and contribute positively to the overall development of the country. When women are respected, given opportunities for development, and have a voice, the great national unity will become even stronger and more vibrant,” as Ms. Do Thi Phuc expressed her great belief in the 11th term of the Vietnam Fatherland Front from 2026 to 2031.
Building a digital ecosystem for women that is interconnected with the digital ecosystem of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
Speaking at the discussion session of the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Ms. Pham Thi Huong Giang, Member of the Presidium and Head of the Women's Affairs Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union, stated: In the coming time, all levels of the Women's Union will build a unified, safe, and interconnected digital ecosystem for women, linked with the digital ecosystem of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; upgrade and improve the "Vietnamese Women" application; develop a database of cadres, members, models, needs, and resources to support women; gradually connect and share data in accordance with the digital Front and national databases; and build a "digital equality" strategy, contributing to eliminating the digital gender gap.
