In mid-February, one of the three most read daily newspapers, Liberty Times, published an article: "The new tourism icon of Phu Quoc Island", introducing the multi-experience show Kiss of the Sea and giving much praise to Vietnam's pearl island.
According to author Quach Xuan Xuan, Phu Quoc - the island known as "Maldives of Vietnam", in addition to possessing blue beaches, delicious food, affordable hotels, visa exemption for international tourists... has a new attraction: the multi-experience art show Kiss of the Sea.
"Phu Quoc really knows how to make Taiwanese tourists open their wallets," Liberty Times commented. The newspaper said that the pearl island has so many experiences, not only enjoying the beautiful nature but also experiencing the world's largest multimedia art show at sea. "Immersed in water, fire, dance, music ... then emotions are sublimated with a splendid fireworks display at the end of the show. Kiss of the Sea is an experience not to be missed in Phu Quoc," Liberty Times wrote.
Kiss of the Sea, officially launched on January 26, 2024, is a multimedia work of art, combining 8 performance technologies including: fire, water, laser, light, music, projection, fireworks and performance art performed methodically and spectacularly by 60 multi-ethnic artists from 20 countries around the world .
The show tells the romantic love story of an Earth man and a female Guardian of the Galaxy and their battle with the dark forces to protect the planets. The audience's emotions are led from relaxation on a beautiful beach to the climax of excitement when witnessing the terrible clash between the forces of fire and water. From tension and heat like falling into lava, the audience bursts into joy and satisfaction amid the fireworks that celebrate the victory of the main characters.
At the same time as Liberty Times, VOGUE magazine also published an article, affirming that Phu Quoc Island once again created a new tourism trend and calling the stage of the Kiss of the Sea show "the world's largest theater on the sea".
According to VOGUE, integrating many different elements such as water, fire, dance, music, cosmic epic and Vietnamese culture... the show deserves to be considered the ultimate sensory feast of 2024. The magazine was also impressed with the performance of 60 international artists who took visitors on a magical journey. "The amazing performances such as jumping, ballet performance... were both adventurous, amazing and extremely charming", VOGUE described.
The highlight of Kiss of the Sea, according to the description, is also the "huge" investment, when the Sun Group spent millions of USD to create a stage with a sea screen of up to 1,000 square meters. "The audience is completely convinced that they are traveling through time and space to a fantasy world, in a three-dome stage with up to 300 devices," praised VOGUE.
Meanwhile, Elle magazine called Kiss of the Sea an unforgettable experience, while NowNews called it a "super satisfying" experience.
Not only the Kiss of the Sea show, the media here also praised other destinations in the South of the Pearl Island. The cable car to Hon Thom Island, Hoang Hon Town, Cau Hon... are suggestions not to be missed.
The fact that the Kiss of the Sea show in particular and Phu Quoc tourism in general are praised by the media continues to affirm the appeal of the pearl island to tourists from this country. According to the tourism community here, Phu Quoc is increasingly attracting more tourists from here due to the new direct flight from Taipei and many charter flights for tour guests. In particular, affordable prices, attractive visa policies and many unique experiences, especially the Kiss of the Sea show, have helped Phu Quoc score points with tourists here and tourists from other countries in the region.
