Phu Tho: Four key projects and works commenced and inaugurated.

On December 19th, in keeping with the nationwide atmosphere, Phu Tho province simultaneously held groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies for four key projects to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

The event was attended by provincial leaders; departments and agencies; investors; construction units; and many delegates and local people. Three projects were launched: the construction of the IC2 and IC5 interchanges on the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway, with a total investment of 778 billion VND, connecting to Phuc Yen and Vinh Yen wards.

The Phu Tho Station project, part of the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway line construction investment project, is being implemented in Phong Chau ward with a total investment of 3,347.11 billion VND.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Duy Dong and other delegates pressed the button to officially launch the construction of Phu Tho Railway Station.

The Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant Expansion Project, inaugurated as a special-grade project, has a total installed capacity of 480MW (comprising 2 units, each with a capacity of 240MW); a total investment of 9,200 billion VND; and an average annual electricity output of approximately 490 million kWh. The Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant Expansion Project aims to increase the capacity of the national power grid; effectively utilize excess water released during the flood season for power generation; stabilize frequency; and reduce operating costs of the national power system. Unit 1 began generating electricity and connecting to the national grid on August 19, 2025, coinciding with the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; Unit 2 will begin generating electricity and connecting to the grid on November 14, 2025.

The Thera Home apartment building in Thanh Thuy commune, part of the LynnTimes Thanh Thuy International Conference Center, tourist apartments and resort villas, is being developed on an area of ​​nearly 9.6 hectares, with a total investment after adjustments of over 931 billion VND, 26 floors high, with approximately 900 units, capable of serving 1,500 guests per day.

Speaking at various locations, the leaders of Phu Tho province emphasized the significance of the project for the locality, the region, and the entire country. They also acknowledged, commended, and highly appreciated the sense of responsibility, proactiveness, and decisiveness of the relevant agencies and units in investment preparation, land clearance, safe construction, and ensuring quality and progress. The province will create all favorable conditions for the projects to be eligible for commencement and construction as directed by the Prime Minister. Furthermore, the province expressed its sincere gratitude for the consensus and support of the people in the project area, who have shared and facilitated the project's timely implementation.

The vehicles, machinery, and equipment are ready for construction.

To ensure the quality, safety, and progress of the projects, and to maximize investment efficiency, the leaders of Phu Tho province requested the investor, construction contractors, and consulting units to continue to demonstrate the highest sense of responsibility, focusing on mobilizing human resources, machinery, and equipment to immediately implement the project; organize construction scientifically, strictly comply with the regulations of the law on investment and construction, avoid cost overruns, waste, and corruption; ensure quality, labor safety, environmental hygiene, and strive to complete the project ahead of schedule.

In addition, relevant departments and agencies of Phu Tho province and commune-level authorities will continue to closely coordinate with the investor, focusing on resolving outstanding issues in land clearance, resettlement, and relocation of technical infrastructure, promptly addressing any difficulties and obstacles that arise, and ensuring that the overall progress of the project is not affected. At the same time, they will strengthen propaganda and mobilization efforts to ensure continued public support and cooperation, creating favorable conditions for the construction process; and effectively manage construction order, security, and traffic safety in the project area.
