Phuong My Chi is reaching the highest peak of her career ever.
Appearing at the same time on the shows Em xinh say Hi and Sing! Asia made her name spread strongly, becoming the topic of public discussion for many months.
If Em xinh say Hi is one of the hottest TV shows in the country at the moment, Phuong My Chi's appearance at Sing! Asia has delighted the audience by bringing music imbued with Vietnamese identity and culture to the competition in China.
It should be noted that Sing! Asia is not only a locally popular show but also brings together dozens of judges who are music experts from across Asia.
To win each stage, Phuong My Chi won the votes - or recognition - of experts such as: Chinese music producer Long Han; Malaysian musician and music producer Bang Hoc Ban; Japanese musician Yuya Fujinaka...
Most of Phuong My Chi's performances such as Bong phu hoa, Rock hat gao, Buon trang ... created a good effect on public opinion in both countries.
The singer's voice and the way she shows off her skills on television have been warmly praised by the Chinese public. Bloggers have described her with beautiful words such as: "precious gem", "Oriental musical miracle"...
The leading local online news channel Tencent News also published an article titled "What is Phuong My Chi's background?" with equally "winged" comments.
In the country, Phuong My Chi's popularity in China has aroused national pride among some internet users. Many viewers said that they have become accustomed to waiting for her performances to comment and share.

Currently in the domestic entertainment market, Phuong My Chi's personal brand is positioned as class A. Meanwhile, her salary has surpassed the class A milestone and is increasing steadily even though the two competitions have not yet ended.
A remarkable transformation
Phuong My Chi is one of the most successful child stars in Vietnam, and is also one of the few child stars who successfully transformed her image from child to adult.
In 2013, Phuong My Chi became famous from her first public appearance with the performance "My Hometown in Flood Season " on the first season of The Voice Kids . After the "one-night star" performance, she won the runner-up position.

The product divides her career into two distinct stages: the first half is the lyrical and gentle "Folk Girl", the second half is the Generation Z female singer with outstanding thinking and trendy music.
The Universe of Flying Storks is not an excellent album but it is good enough, just right for Phuong My Chi to affirm her new image, style as well as identity of her 20s.
The product is not pioneering as Hoang Thuy Linh and some female singers have done it before. However, the plus point is the balance of tradition and modernity; not superficial or patchwork.
Instead of a large collection of national culture like Hoang Thuy Linh, she chose a subset of literary works in the general education program to include in the album. Therefore, the songs are quite "gentle", not too individual but bring a sense of closeness, especially to students - the audience segment that "Sister Bay" focused on conquering with a series of shows at universities right after that.

The difficulty of Phuong My Chi
The core values that helped Phuong My Chi succeed were her ability and mindset. Next, if anything, she became famous early so she had a long enough process to prepare for the turning point.
Among the generation Z female singers active in the mainstream, Phuong My Chi represents the vocalist group (singers specializing in voice), in contrast to tlinh - representing the group with unique qualities, personality and strong performance.
During her time as "Folk Girl", Phuong My Chi left her mark with her sweet Southern voice and her smooth, moderate, and pleasant singing style. In recent years, through several stages and programs, the female singer has continued to affirm her ability with a solid foundation of vocal techniques.
At Sing! Asia 2025 , the 10X singer sang the super high note F6 (F range 6) using the whistle technique quite smoothly, surprising both foreign judges and Vietnamese public opinion.
More importantly, Phuong My Chi shows her skills naturally in the right situation, not creating a feeling of showing off but also making the audience love and respect her more.
The difficulty the female singer is facing is the connection between her appearance and some specific musical and visual styles.
With a pretty, innocent face and petite figure, she easily wins the audience's sympathy as well as has the advantage of cute, friendly styles like "National Little Sister".
However, her "young" appearance makes it difficult for Phuong My Chi to pursue a mature, seductive, edgy or high art image and music style.
On a micro level, with her forte being mostly slow-tempo genres and singing in legato (a technique of singing continuously), she can sing a heartbreaking, heart-wrenching song well, but her innocent appearance cannot completely convince the audience to believe in the story in the song.
In short, Phuong My Chi is still a prominent face among generation Z singers with a clear musical direction and color.
She can go a long way by building on her existing foundation, especially the folk and contemporary fusion that she is doing that is almost timeless. Experimenting with new styles, if any, is just an option.
With her own abilities, Phuong My Chi can also develop her career as a legitimate singer; even further, she can venture into another field that has shown some potential: cinema.
