Pi Network announces new ecosystem, 'Pi players' expect cryptocurrency to revive

On social networking forums, many people shared information related to the fact that Pi coin has been on the rise in recent sessions and expected the price to continue to increase in the coming days, after a long period of gloom and "bottoming out".

On the morning of May 11, on the OKX exchange, Pi price was trading at 0.78 USD/Pi, a significant increase compared to 0.57 USD/Pi (May 7) - the time before Pi Network announced the information disclosure.

However, many people, when seeing the price of Pi increase, immediately sold it to take profit, after many days of worrying about losses because this virtual currency lost value. Mr. Nguyen Minh Tung (Hanoi) said that he bought Pi at the price of 0.5 USD/Pi, when the price increased to 0.7 USD/Pi, he sold it.

"Thus, I earn about 0.2 USD/Pi for each Pi, equivalent to about 5,000 VND. I accept low profit but guarantee not to lose," Mr. Tung shared.

Meanwhile, many people are calling for not selling Pi at this time, because strong selling pressure will increase Pi supply and cause Pi price to go down.

"Every time we see the price increase slightly, we rush to sell, so when will the price go up again? If we keep selling, the price will go down again. Everyone should keep Pi and wait for a better price," an anonymous account wrote.

According to experts, there are many reasons why the price of Pi Network has almost not recovered in recent months, even continuously decreasing at many times. One of the main factors comes from the intrinsic value of Pi coin.

In Vietnam, Pi Network coin has not been recognized as legal by the State and people are warned to be vigilant when participating in investing, buying, selling, and exchanging this currency to avoid risks.

Previously, commenting on the current investment in Pi virtual currency, Mr. Nguyen Anh Dung, a personal financial planning expert at FIDT Investment Consulting and Asset Management Joint Stock Company said: “ Virtual currency is a large market with many different types of money. However, investing in it is more like a kind of belief and hope than a clear financial investment plan .”

According to Mr. Dung, investors need to be careful when "pouring money" to collect Pi in the context of an unclear market trend and full of risks like the present.

Also, Pi is being created for free so it is difficult to see where the value of this coin is to have any basis to believe that it will increase in value.

“ Like stocks, shares, gold, real estate… we can calculate why they go up and down. But with Pi, even the players probably don’t understand why it is valuable, ” he said.

From there, expert Nguyen Anh Dung said that virtual currency is like a form of speculative asset. Without careful research and market assurance, small investors can become easy prey for the "sharks".

In terms of personal financial planning, Mr. Dung recommends that investors should not choose such risky financial options. If so, they should only use a small portion of their idle assets to participate in an exploratory manner and not go deep.
