PNJ was honored by VIOD as "Board of the Year 2022" at the annual AF6 forum in Hanoi on November 22nd.
According to a representative of Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company (PNJ), this award recognizes the company's efforts in pioneering the application of new standards in governance and business transparency in accordance with international practices.
"We advocate for integrating ESG (environmental, social, and governance) standards into our business operations, aiming for sustainable development, accelerating the green transition, and promoting sustainable economic growth," a representative from the company stated.

Prior to the award, the VIOD organizing committee meticulously analyzed each listed company nominated for "Board of Directors of the Year 2022". The process included: designing the evaluation criteria, preliminary selection, and final selection. The award honors leaders who demonstrate competence through strategic vision, optimizing shareholder benefits, and practicing governance according to best practices.
In addition, PNJ was honored with the "Highly Diverse Board of Directors" award, recognizing its effectiveness, gender balance, multigenerational involvement, and high skill level.
Throughout its production and business journey, PNJ has made many outstanding achievements thanks to the appropriate direction and strategy of its Board of Directors. Since 2022, the company has been promoting ESG (Economic, Social and Governance) principles and announced the establishment of the Environmental, Social and Governance Committee.
"The ESG Committee standardizes operations according to international standards, elevating long-term strategies. This is a key element for sustainable development and a measure of competitiveness," a representative from the organization stated.
Thanks to the strategic combination of "engagement - liberation - transformation," the Board of Directors has gradually led the company to achieve many milestones. In 2022, the company's revenue reached VND 33,876 billion; after-tax profit was VND 1,811 billion.

PNJ's leadership also promotes community activities. Over the past five years, the company has contributed nearly 6,000 billion VND to the state budget and supported over one million disadvantaged people.
In 2023, the leadership team prioritized maintaining and promoting the power of compassion, caring for poor households and disadvantaged workers nationwide during the 2023 Tet holiday. Specifically, the unit continued to coordinate with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Ho Chi Minh City and partners to implement the "2023 Tet 0-Dong Mini Supermarket" chain. The total cost of fundraising and contributions reached 11.1 billion VND, expected to support nearly 20,000 people.
In addition, the unit also prioritizes environmental protection, continuously upgrading to the latest equipment to reduce losses, improve quality, and increase the efficiency of wastewater treatment to meet discharge standards.
"We have registered as members at the Ho Chi Minh City Energy Saving Center and have also built a wastewater treatment system applying a combination of chemical and microbial technology," a company representative revealed.

Over the years, PNJ has achieved many accomplishments: Top 50 most efficient companies in Vietnam in 2023 by Nhip Cau Dau Tu magazine; 9 consecutive times in the Top 50 excellent listed companies organized by Forbes Vietnam... Brand Finance assessed the company as "Most valuable jewelry brand in Vietnam 2023", estimated at $428.43 million, an increase of 17% compared to 2022.
