The concept of "big guys" in the Premier League is really inflated, as fans count too many strong teams with strong squads and abundant financial resources.
Every team has a lot of money.
In addition to the "big 6" that are already rich in tradition, English football now welcomes Newcastle - the team with the richest owner (Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund) in the world , and Aston Villa - the team that has dominated the tournament for the past 2 years.
Not to mention Brighton - a team that often starts very well and always has remarkable young stars; or Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth, Brentford, Crystal Palace - are all representatives of the "dark horse" type worth waiting for every season.
The English football media hype is part of it, but there is no denying that the Premier League is the most equitable league in the world. Over the past decade, all other leagues have followed the Premier League's model of fair prize money distribution.
In any given season, the Premier League's weakest teams can receive nearly €150m from a fair distribution of TV rights and performance bonuses.
The most successful teams in the league only receive about one and a half times more than the weakest, and the middle-class teams can collect nearly 200 million euros from the league's organizers. That is why every summer, English clubs dominate the transfer market.
For example, Sunderland, the newly promoted team this season, spent 153 million euros on new players. This figure is 6 times higher than Barca and higher than most of the Italian giants. Even Sunderland is like that, so it is not surprising that the giants of the league are spending more money.

Too many blockbusters to wait for
In this summer transfer window, the big clubs are stronger than ever. From Liverpool, Man City to Arsenal, Chelsea have all spent over 200 million euros to buy new players. These are teams that played relatively successfully last season.
Liverpool won the Premier League, Arsenal was runner-up, Chelsea won the FIFA Club World Cup and Conference League, and Man City, despite their poor form, still secured a place in the Champions League and reaped a lot of prize money from the FIFA Club World Cup.
But even Man United - a team that has been in a terrible state of affairs this season - are still investing heavily. Having spent more than 230 million euros, the "red devils" are likely to complete the deal to buy Baleba from Brighton for more than 100 million euros in the coming days.
A series of "blockbusters" have been detonated this past summer. Wirtz and Ekitike had quite an impressive debut (in the Community Shield match), and now it's the turn of Arsenal's Gyokeres, Man City's Cherki and Reijnders, Man United's Sesko, Mbeumo and Cunha, or Chelsea's Pedro and Gittens... English football fans are eagerly awaiting the big debuts in the opening round of the tournament.
And not only that, the "blockbuster" contracts are expected to continue to be activated in the last 2 weeks of the summer transfer window. Liverpool bought Isak, Man City aimed for Rodrygo, Arsenal wanted to buy Eze, and Chelsea are still aiming for a few more quality players. The already fierce Premier League is heading towards a super dramatic season when all the strong teams of the tournament spend overwhelmingly on the whole European football village.
