PTL "Ho Chi Minh - The Road Ahead": A Look Back at Part 1, Part 2

Following the success of the first two parts of the documentary "Ho Chi Minh - The Road Ahead," part 3 of this documentary project will be broadcast on June 5-6 on HTV9 channel.

The first two parts of the documentary project "Ho Chi Minh - The Road Ahead," produced by TFS - HTV Film Studio, have left a strong impression on viewers, thanks to their fresh, emotionally rich approach to history and the abundance of valuable materials.

First released in 2023, Part 1, titled "Following in the Footsteps of History," consists of two volumes: "Historical Blanks" and "From the Soviet Union to a Centenary Journey."

The film follows President Ho Chi Minh's revolutionary journey in Europe, contributing to shedding light on many little-known aspects of history, while also more clearly portraying his vision and aspirations for national independence during the years he sought to save the country.

The work received the A Prize at the 18th National Press Awards and the A Prize in the documentary category from the Ho Chi Minh City Film Association.

Following that success, in early 2025, TFS introduced Part 2 titled "A Triumphal Song in the Heart of Paris". While the first part focused on the journey to find a way to save the country, Part 2 expands the story to the diplomatic front, highlighting the influence of Ho Chi Minh's ideology on the international solidarity movement supporting Vietnam.

A special highlight of the film is the story of the flag of the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam flying atop Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris on the night of January 18, 1969, just before the crucial negotiations of the Paris Peace Conference.

Through the accounts of witnesses and footage filmed in France and Switzerland, the film vividly portrays the spirit of international solidarity shown towards Vietnam during its struggle for independence.

Beyond simply utilizing valuable historical documents, the team boldly combined documentary filmmaking with graphics and special effects to recreate events that took place decades ago, making history more accessible to younger audiences. This approach has also created a unique mark for the "Ho Chi Minh - The Road Ahead" project over the years.

Following the first two parts, which chronicled the journey of national salvation and international diplomatic achievements, the upcoming third part is expected to continue offering new perspectives on the life, ideology, and legacy of President Ho Chi Minh, thereby extending TFS's journey of telling historical stories through the visual language of documentary films.
