According to many local travel agencies, the number of tourists participating in trekking tours in Pu Ta Leng has been trending upwards in recent years, especially during the dry season and the rhododendron flowering season. Among these, Pu Ta Leng is identified as one of the typical discovery tourism products, contributing to promoting the image of Lai Chau tourism to domestic and international tourists.

“Pu Ta Leng is one of Lai Chau's signature tourism products. The province is focusing on promoting it, while also linking tourism development with the conservation of natural resources and raising awareness of environmental protection,” Ms. Do Thi Tuyen emphasized.

Besides its great potential, tourism development in Pu Ta Leng also requires the protection of the pristine forest ecosystem. Local authorities and relevant units have intensified efforts to raise awareness and encourage tourists not to litter and to limit the use of single-use plastics on trekking routes.

Many travel clubs and trekking groups also regularly organize activities to collect trash and clean up mountain trails in order to preserve the natural landscape. This is considered a necessary direction for developing sustainable tourism in the area.
