* 4 days of inspection, 3 facilities required to temporarily suspend operations

(HG O ) - Cai Tac Ngoc Thuy porridge shop (Cai Tac town, Chau Thanh A district) is still open for sale even though the Inspection Team has requested to temporarily suspend operations according to the inspection report on May 4. However , according to the reporter's records on the morning of May 7, the shop is still open for sale.

Cai Tac Ngoc Thuy porridge shop was still open for sale on the morning of May 7 , despite being fined and ordered to temporarily stop selling from May 4.

Business at Cai Tac Ngoc Thuy porridge shop is still normal as if there had never been an inspection and a temporary suspension of business on May 4.

Speaking to reporters, Mr. Nguyen Vinh Son, Deputy Head of the Department in charge of leading and operating the Provincial Department of Food Safety and Hygiene, Head of the Inspection Team , informed : Cai Tac Ngoc Thuy Porridge Shop has not yet been re-issued a Certificate of eligibility for food safety and has not been allowed to operate again .

The fact that the facility is still open for business despite the Inspection Team's request to temporarily suspend operations, in addition to the owner's awareness, also shows laxity in the management of compliance with food safety regulations here. The Inspection Team previously assigned Chau Thanh A District Medical Center, Cai Tac Town Medical Station, and Dong Phu A Hamlet Chief to supervise the facility's business activities.

On May 4, the Interdisciplinary Food Safety Inspection Team during the 2024 Food Safety Action Month inspected the Cai Tac Ngoc Thuy Porridge Shop (Cai Tac Town). The team requested that this shop temporarily suspend operations due to violations of food safety regulations: The processing area of the facility is not far from the source of pollution as prescribed, invoices and documents for purchasing raw materials for processing have not been presented, the periodic health check-up has expired since March 2024, and the Food Safety Eligibility Certificate has expired since December 11, 2023.

* After 4 days of inspection, the Interdisciplinary Inspection Team on Food Safety in the Action Month for Food Safety in 2024 of the province inspected 9 food production, processing and trading establishments in Chau Thanh, Chau Thanh A, Phung Hiep districts and Nga Bay city.

After inspection, the Delegation proposed to temporarily suspend the operation of 3 establishments: Canteen of Nguyen Van Quy Secondary School (Nga Sau town, Chau Thanh district) , Cai Tac Ngoc Thuy porridge shop (Cai Tac town, Chau Thanh A district) , and Cay Loc Vung restaurant (Nga Bay ward, Nga Bay city). The three establishments violated the regulations of having expired food safety certificates or failing to present a commitment to ensure food safety.
