US military shoots down Houthi UAV

According to ABC News, the US military said it had just shot down three unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and one missile aimed at the destroyer USS Carney (DDG 64) in the Red Sea.

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that the three UAVs and one anti-ship ballistic missile were launched from areas in Yemen controlled by Houthi forces. The incident did not cause casualties or damage to the destroyer USS Carney. According to CENTCOM, US forces destroyed three anti-ship missiles and three UAVs in other areas in Yemen controlled by Houthi forces.

Earlier, Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said the force had carried out multiple missile and UAV attacks on two US destroyers in the Red Sea. The Houthis vowed to carry out more attacks on US and British ships as the two countries continued to bombard the force.
