Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin on the occasion of attending the 5th 2+2 Dialogue in New Delhi.

Affirming that the 2+2 format is a key element in further strengthening India-US relations, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized that the comprehensive global strategic partnership between the two countries is a "driving force" for "global benefit".
The Indian Prime Minister believes that mutually beneficial cooperation between New Delhi and Washington is bolstered by their shared belief in democracy, pluralism, and the rule of law.
Meanwhile, according to a statement from the US State Department, Secretary of State Blinken and Prime Minister Modi reaffirmed their shared vision of a close partnership in the Indo- Pacific and on issues of global importance.
Sharing on social media platform X, Secretary Blinken affirmed America's desire to "continue technological innovation, clean energy, and space for a brighter future."
Earlier, at the 2+2 Dialogue, Foreign Minister Blinken stated that India and the US are promoting a free, open, and secure Indo-Pacific region by strengthening their partnership through the Quad group with Japan and Australia.
The dialogue between the US and Indian foreign and defense ministers has been held annually since 2018. This meeting serves as a platform for high-level discussions between the US and India, focusing on key bilateral and global issues, with particular emphasis on developments in the Indo-Pacific region.
