Hoang Mai District approves administrative unit arrangement policy

At the meeting, the District People's Council passed a Resolution on the policy of arranging commune-level administrative units (AUs) in Hoang Mai district.

Hoang Mai District currently has 14 ward-level administrative units. According to the plan to arrange commune-level administrative units of Hoang Mai District, the district will establish 7 grassroots-level administrative units.

Specifically, Hoang Mai basic administrative unit includes: Most of the natural area and population of Yen So and Thinh Liet wards (Hoang Mai); part of the natural area and population of Giap Bat, Hoang Liet, Tan Mai, Tuong Mai, Hoang Van Thu, Vinh Hung, Linh Nam, Tran Phu wards (Hoang Mai).

Vinh Hung basic administrative unit includes: Most of the natural area and population of Vinh Hung and Thanh Tri wards (Hoang Mai); part of the natural area and population of Linh Nam wards (Hoang Mai); Vinh Tuy (Hai Ba Trung).

Tuong Mai basic administrative unit includes: Most of the natural area and population of Tuong Mai, Hoang Van Thu, Giap Bat wards (Hoang Mai); Truong Dinh (Hai Ba Trung); part of the natural area and population of Phuong Liet wards (Thanh Xuan); Dong Tam, Minh Khai (Hai Ba Trung); Vinh Hung, Tan Mai, Mai Dong (Hoang Mai).

Dinh Cong basic administrative unit includes: Most of the natural area and population of the wards: Dinh Cong, Dai Kim (Hoang Mai); part of the natural area and population of the wards: Thanh Liet, Tan Trieu (Thanh Tri); Thinh Liet, Hoang Liet (Hoang Mai).

Hoang Liet basic administrative unit includes: Most of the natural area and population of Hoang Liet ward (Hoang Mai); part of the natural area and population of Dai Kim ward (Hoang Mai); communes: Tam Hiep, Thanh Liet, Van Dien town (Thanh Tri).

Yen So basic administrative unit includes: Most of the natural area and population of Yen So ward (Hoang Mai); part of the natural area and population of Thinh Liet, Hoang Liet, Tran Phu wards (Hoang Mai) and Tu Hiep commune, Van Dien town (Thanh Tri).

Linh Nam basic administrative unit includes: Most of the natural area and population of Linh Nam, Thanh Tri, Tran Phu, Yen So wards (Hoang Mai); part of the natural area and population of Thanh Luong ward (Hai Ba Trung).

Speaking at the meeting, Hoang Mai District Party Secretary Nguyen Xuan Linh said that Hoang Mai district, from 14 wards associated with many historical, cultural, revolutionary traditions..., was established into 7 wards with new names of administrative units, which received high consensus among the people; at the same time, reducing only 50% of commune-level administrative units is also favorable for implementing the next tasks on the apparatus and staff, to operate the government apparatus effectively and efficiently.

He noted that the People's Council delegates and committees of the District People's Council need to continue to urge and be determined to do well so that when there are no more district-level administrative units, the remaining problems can be minimized. In particular, after this thematic session, the District People's Council needs to promptly issue a resolution, summarize records and documents to report to the city, so that the City People's Council has enough basis to carry out the following tasks, ensuring that the wards come into operation from July 1, 2025.
