Kien An District: The "Warm Mid-Autumn Festival - Sharing Love" program donated nearly 250 gifts to underprivileged children.

(Haiphong.gov.vn) – On the morning of September 15th, the People's Committee of Kien An District organized the "Warm Mid-Autumn Festival - Sharing Love" program and presented scholarships and gifts to disadvantaged children in the district on the occasion of the 2024 Mid-Autumn Festival. Attending the event were: Mr. Nguyen Phong Doanh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Kien An District; and Mr. Tran Duy Tuong, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Kien An District.
At the program, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee Nguyen Phong Doanh expressed his gratitude to the sponsors in the city and district for their meaningful gifts to disadvantaged children on the occasion of the 2024 Mid-Autumn Festival. These gifts serve as motivation for the children to overcome their difficulties, giving them strength and determination to continue their studies. These noble gestures have a strong ripple effect, aiming towards the best and most humane things, especially promoting the tradition of solidarity and compassion of our nation with a high determination to implement the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor - No one left behind".
At the program, the children listened to a letter from General Secretary and President To Lam addressed to children on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival 2024.
Various agencies, units, and organizations donated 245 gift packages with a total value of over 130 million VND. Specifically, the District's Fund for the Poor donated 30 packages worth 15 million VND; the Women's Executive Committee of the City Police donated 20 packages worth 6 million VND; the Kien An District Youth Union donated 20 packages; the Hai Phong Social Work Center and Children's Protection Fund donated 65 packages worth 59 million VND; the City's Association for the Protection of Disabled People donated 30 packages worth 15 million VND; the Hoa Phuong Do Charity Club donated 50 packages worth 25 million VND; and Ngoc Bich Charity donated 30 packages worth 12 million VND.
