Kien An District: The program "Warm Mid-Autumn Festival - Sending love" presented nearly 250 gifts to children in difficult circumstances.

(Haiphong.gov.vn) – On the morning of September 15, the People's Committee of Kien An district organized the program "Warm Mid-Autumn Festival - Sending love" and presented scholarships and gifts to disadvantaged children in the district on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival 2024. Attending were comrades: Nguyen Phong Doanh, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee; Tran Duy Tuong, Chairman of the District Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.
At the Program, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee Nguyen Phong Doanh expressed his gratitude to the sponsors in the city and district for giving meaningful gifts to disadvantaged children on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival 2024. This is the motivation for the children to overcome themselves, adding strength and will to help them firmly step on the path of learning. These noble gestures have a strong influence to move towards the best and most humane things, especially promoting the tradition of solidarity and humanity of our nation with a high determination to carry out the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor - Leaving no one behind".
At the program, children listened to a letter from General Secretary andPresident To Lam to children on the occasion of Mid-Autumn Festival 2024.
Agencies, units and organizations presented 245 gifts with a total value of over 130 million VND. Of which, the District Fund for the Poor presented 30 gifts with a total value of 15 million VND; the City Police Women's Executive Committee presented 20 gifts with a total value of 6 million VND; Kien An District Youth Union presented 20 gifts; the Hai Phong Social Work Center and Children's Support Fund presented 65 gifts with a total value of 59 million VND; the City Association for the Support of the Disabled presented 30 gifts with a total value of 15 million VND; the Hoa Phuong Do Charity Club presented 50 gifts with a total value of 25 million VND; and the Ngoc Bich Charity presented 30 gifts with a total value of 12 million VND.
