In recent years, along with the State's social security policies, many programs and activities to support children in special circumstances have been implemented synchronously and effectively by all levels, sectors, organizations and business communities in the province. Activities such as: awarding scholarships, giving gifts, building playgrounds, free medical examination and treatment... have contributed to improving living and learning conditions, helping children reduce difficulties and gain more confidence and motivation to improve in life.
For many years, Trinh Thi Thanh Thuy, from Hiep Cuong commune, has been raised by her grandparents. Despite her difficult economic situation and lack of love from her parents, Thuy has always been a good student, achieving high academic results for many years in a row. Sharing love and encouraging her to continue to overcome difficulties and strive to excel in her studies and life, Hung Yen Petroleum One Member Co., Ltd. recently awarded her a scholarship worth 2 million VND. Thuy shared: I am very grateful for everyone's care and help. Thanks to this support, I have better conditions to continue my studies. I will try to study hard to not let down everyone who has loved and helped me.
Vu Thi Minh Hang, born in 2008, in Bai Say 3 village, Trieu Viet Vuong commune, is in a particularly difficult situation as she was orphaned at a young age and is living with her elderly grandmother in poor health. Understanding her situation, Ms. Hoang Thi Yen, Director of Yen Doan Company Limited, Khoai Chau commune, has taken her under her wing with a support of 6 million VND/year, maintained continuously until she completes high school. This act of kindness not only helps Hang reduce difficulties in studying and living, but also gives her more confidence and motivation to strive to improve in life. Ms. Yen shared: I believe that as long as children have the opportunity and are supported in a timely manner, they will be able to overcome their circumstances and continue to write their dreams. I hope this small support will help Hang feel secure in studying, live positively and in the future be able to help people in similar situations.
In order to effectively mobilize and build resources to support children, in recent times, agencies, units and organizations have actively coordinated with functional sectors and localities to manage data on children in general, children in special circumstances and children at risk of falling into special circumstances in particular, as a basis for developing timely support and intervention solutions. At the same time, coordinate with relevant agencies, units and localities to strengthen propaganda on the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws on child protection and care; propagate the goals and plans to build and develop programs to support children; propagate and commend typical collectives and individuals in accompanying, contributing and caring for children in special and difficult circumstances and children in poor and near-poor households. Along with that, coordinate with agencies, units, and organizations to mobilize cadres, civil servants, public employees, union members, union members, workers... to contribute resources to support children in many forms: material, financial or directly receive support, sponsor children in difficult circumstances...
Thanks to the attention, practical and timely support of agencies, units, businesses, organizations and individuals, many activities to care for and support children have been carried out. Many programs for children have been effectively implemented, creating an impression in the community such as: Scholarship program to go to school with children; connecting with sponsors and international humanitarian organizations to support free screening and surgery for children with congenital heart disease; donating wheelchairs to disabled children; donating learning equipment and playground equipment to schools... Along with that, many businesses and philanthropists have actively participated in support such as: Hung Yen Petroleum One Member Co., Ltd. donated 200 million VND to support 200 children in special circumstances; Hung Yen Plastic Joint Stock Company donated 50 million VND to sponsor 50 children in difficult circumstances; Vietnam Automobile and Motorcycle Parts Manufacturing Company (VAP) sponsors 3 orphans until they turn 16 with an amount of 42.6 million VND/year; AIA Life Insurance Company Limited and Bao Viet Life Hung Yen Company maintain the program "Bicycles to School with Children"... Thereby, contributing to creating conditions for children to exercise their rights to develop comprehensively in terms of physical, intellectual, spiritual and moral aspects...
In the coming time, to improve the effectiveness of child care and protection, especially children in special circumstances, all levels, sectors, organizations and localities in the province will continue to strengthen state management of children in general, and synchronously implement policies and laws to support children in special circumstances in particular. Inspection and examination of the implementation of regulations on child protection and care will be organized regularly, ensuring timeliness and effectiveness. Promote the mobilization of social resources to build programs to support children, create funding sources for visiting and encouraging children in especially difficult circumstances. Strengthen the review and regular update of the situation of children in the area, thereby promptly detecting, preventing and having appropriate support solutions, minimizing children falling into special circumstances.
