While fishing at sea, a fishing boat from Ly Son Island discovered a fisherman drifting in the water, in a state of severe exhaustion.
At approximately 6 PM on August 24th, the fishing vessel QNg-96869 TS, captained by Bui Van Dat (Ly Son district, Quang Ngai province), was operating at sea, about 10 nautical miles southeast of Ly Son island, when they spotted a fisherman drifting at sea.
Immediately, Mr. Dat organized a rescue operation and reported the incident to the An Vinh Border Control Station (Ly Son Border Guard Post).
Border guards guided the crew of Mr. Dat's fishing boat in organizing rescue and first aid. Afterwards, the victim was transferred to Mr. Le Van Thuan's fishing boat, QNg-66403TS (Ly Son district), and brought ashore.
Upon reaching the shore, border guards from Ly Son island district provided first aid and transported the injured to the Ly Son District Military-Civilian Medical Center.
The fisherman in distress is Mr. Dang Thanh Vuong (Nghia An commune, Quang Ngai city), a crew member on the fishing vessel QNg-97407 TS owned and captained by Mr. Tran Van Dan (Tan My village, Nghia An commune, Quang Ngai city).
Mr. Wang's health is now stable.
