In the last days of May, when the cicadas begin to sing, signaling the arrival of a new summer, thousands of children across the country eagerly anticipate Children's Day on June 1st.
But somewhere out there, there are still children battling illness every day, children in particularly difficult circumstances where the joy of childhood sometimes comes simply from a small gift, a word of encouragement, or a comforting embrace.
Therefore, the visits, gifts, and presence of Quang Ninh provincial leaders during the 2026 Action Month for Children are a message of responsibility, love, and determination to ensure that no child is left behind on the province's development journey.

At Quang Ninh Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, Mr. Quan Minh Cuong, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, visited the bedsides to inquire about and encourage the young children undergoing treatment.
The kind words of encouragement and loving handshakes from the head of the provincial Party committee gave strength to the children and their families during these most difficult days.
At the same time, Ms. Trinh Thi Minh Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council, visited the Vietnam-Sweden Uong Bi Hospital to visit and present gifts to child patients.

Mr. Vu Quyet Tien, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, also visited the Provincial General Hospital to encourage the children receiving treatment there.
These gifts may not be of great material value, but they embody the care and sharing of the entire political system towards future generations.
For families facing illness and economic hardship, such encouragement holds special spiritual significance, giving them the confidence to overcome challenges.
What is commendable is that Quang Ninh's efforts to care for children do not stop at symbolic visits.

According to the plan of the Provincial People's Committee, on the occasion of this year's Month of Action for Children, delegations led by provincial leaders will visit and present gifts at 19 locations throughout the province, from hospitals and social welfare centers to schools in remote areas and islands.
From Cao Xanh, Cua Ong, and Uong Bi wards to mountainous areas like Ba Che and Binh Lieu, or coastal and island regions like Van Don and Co To, the footsteps of the working groups have carried the concern of the Party Committee, government, and people of the province to children who need more care.
That's a beautiful image of a government that is close to its people, understands its people, and always prioritizes vulnerable groups in society. Because children are not only the future of the country but also a measure reflecting the quality of development of each locality.

A civilized society is not judged by its skyscrapers or growth figures, but by how it cares for, protects, and provides opportunities for children to develop holistically.
For many years, Quang Ninh has been known as one of the leading localities in the country in social welfare work. Alongside economic growth, the province has persistently pursued the goal of inclusive development, with children being one of the groups receiving special attention.
The figures from this year's Children's Action Month clearly demonstrate this. To date, the entire province has provided gifts to 1,496 children in extremely difficult circumstances, totaling 772.9 million VND; 7 children have received sponsorship totaling 44.7 million VND; 75 schools and organizations have received gifts worth over 147 million VND; and 4,103 children and students have received gifts with a total value exceeding 124 million VND.
Behind those numbers lie thousands of stories of sharing. It could be a child in a remote area receiving extra books and supplies before the new school year; a young patient finding renewed motivation for treatment; or a struggling family feeling the support of the community in raising their children.

Most notably, Quang Ninh is gradually building an increasingly comprehensive child care network, mobilizing the participation of all levels of government, the Fatherland Front, mass organizations, businesses, and philanthropists.
From programs to sponsor orphans, provide educational support and healthcare, to activities protecting children from violence and abuse, all aim to create a safe and healthy environment for children's development.
While life remains challenging, these acts of humanity are all the more meaningful. Because every act of care for children today is an investment in the province's future tomorrow.
When gifts are delivered directly to the recipients, when children's smiles brighten in hospitals or remote areas, the value of social welfare work no longer lies in statistical figures. It is present in the joy, hope, and warmth that the community gives to the young sprouts of their homeland.
And that is also the most beautiful message that Quang Ninh wants to convey in the 2026 Action Month for Children: economic development to improve the quality of life for the people, but above all, to ensure that all children are loved, cared for, and have the opportunity to reach a better future.
