Ha Long Carnival 2024 has the theme "Light up with Wonders" with the highlight being the live performance and the first Carnival on the sea in Vietnam.
On April 8, at the press conference for the first quarter of 2024 organized by the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Long city Nguyen Ngoc Son said that for the first time, a Carnaval festival has a new form, performing and parading on the sea, on the sandbank of Ha Long Bay with musical art elements, harmoniously combining history and culture, highlighting the World Natural Heritage of Ha Long Bay at night, affirming the value of Ha Long Bay.
The 2024 Ha Long Carnival Festival with the theme "Lighting up with Wonders" is scheduled to take place on the evening of April 28, at the Ocean Park beach, Vo Nguyen Giap Street, Bai Chay Ward, Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province.
The Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Long City shared that the Festival script was built and inspired by the core values in the value system of Quang Ninh province such as "beautiful nature," "unique culture," "developed economy " with a focus on the marine economy , especially the value of "happy people."
The festival is also an opportunity to send to the people of the whole country and international friends a message about the wonders, heritage and people of Ha Long-Quang Ninh land.
The new feature of the Ha Long Carnival Festival 2024 is that Ha Long city will build a live art performance and the first Carnaval festival on the sea in Vietnam.
The 2024 Ha Long Carnival Festival is directed by the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Committee of Quang Ninh Province and the Standing Committee of the Ha Long City Party Committee, chaired by the People's Committee of Ha Long City, with the coordination of departments, branches, and support of corporations and service and tourism businesses.
The festival will bring together leading creative teams, artists and artisans in Vietnam; international guest delegations from Hokkaido (Japan), Guangxi (China), Laos, Thailand and European artists...
The Festival performance stage is a harmonious combination of onshore and at sea, with hundreds of ships and boats mobilized to participate.
The festival will also feature a display of drone light, fireworks, mapping, LED, sound, and state-of-the-art lighting.
According to the script, the Festival is divided into 5 acts including: Ha Long Legend, fishing village, commercial port, Ha Long Carnaval Heritage dance, shining with wonders.
In addition, during Ha Long Tourism Week 2024, Ha Long city organizes a series of festival, cultural and tourism events such as the opening of the walking street, cuisine of Bai Chay ward (April 20), sports competitions to celebrate the Liberation Day of the South (April 30) and International Labor Day (May 1), Beer and Squid Cake Festival (from April 27 to May 1 to set the record for the largest Squid Cake in Vietnam), Lion-Dragon-Lion Festival, Festival of modern dance groups in Ha Long city, Folk dance performance program with the theme "Ha Long women shine with Wonders," Ha Long city Zumba Club Festival 2024, Tran Quoc Nghien Temple Festival, Kite Festival with the theme "Fly high kites of aspiration"...
