Quang Ninh Province joyfully inaugurates the Spring Book and Newspaper Fair of the Year of the Dragon 2024.

To practically celebrate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2024), on February 3, the Quang Ninh Provincial Journalists Association, in coordination with the Quang Ninh Provincial Library, organized the opening ceremony of the Spring Book and Newspaper Fair 2024 in Ha Long City.

The Spring Book and Newspaper Fair of the Year of the Dragon 2024 is a gathering place for outstanding and vibrant Spring publications from central ministries and agencies, as well as special publications from media organizations across the country.

With its open space set against the modern architecture of the Provincial Library, the Spring Book and Newspaper Fair of the Year of the Dragon 2024 will showcase over 1,000 newspapers and magazines, along with thousands of documents presented artistically and arranged aesthetically and scientifically , promising to become a meaningful destination for locals and tourists during the Lunar New Year.

At this year's Spring Book and Newspaper Fair in Quang Ninh, Giao Thong Newspaper had publications participating at 13 exhibition points in 13 districts, towns, and cities...

The spaces are arranged in a sequential order with three themes: "The Communist Party of Vietnam - Historical Mission and Political Acumen"; "Vietnamese Tet" and "The Mark of Quang Ninh 2023".

In particular, the highlight of the exhibition spaces is the artistic book arrangement models created by the provincial library staff, featuring symbols such as: the Dragon of Hạ - Hòn Gà đấu (a traditional Vietnamese festival); the inscription: "SPRING 2024"; and a dragon image accompanied by New Year couplets, signifying a joyful welcome to the new year with new opportunities and expectations.

Along with the Spring Book and Newspaper Fair at the Quang Ninh Provincial Library, during the Lunar New Year of 2024, the Provincial Journalists Association, in coordination with the Provincial Library and the People's Committees of various localities, organized the Spring Newspaper Fair of the Year of the Dragon in 13 localities throughout the province.

Accordingly, the Quang Ninh Provincial Journalists Association coordinated the organization of 15 exhibitions of spring newspapers from press agencies nationwide and photos showcasing the outstanding achievements of Quang Ninh province in 2023. Specifically, there were 12 spring newspaper exhibitions in 12 localities. In Ha Long City alone, there were 3 locations: the Provincial Library, the Provincial Post Office, and the Inter-Agency Headquarters No. 4.

The Spring Book and Newspaper Fair of the Year of the Dragon in Ha Long City attracted a large number of readers, including students from the area.

Along with the Lunar New Year newspapers, there are hundreds of books on topics such as the Party, President Ho Chi Minh, Quang Ninh province, and Tet customs, all arranged artistically. The Provincial Journalists Association also compiled and printed images of the province's outstanding achievements in 2023 to display at the Lunar New Year Book and Newspaper Fair.

In conjunction with the Spring Book and Newspaper Fair, the Provincial Journalists Association, the Communication Center, the People's Newspaper in Quang Ninh, and various branches and sub-branches of journalists' associations also contributed funds to organize social and charitable activities such as: donating computers to the Dam Ha District Library; awarding scholarships to underprivileged students with excellent academic achievements; donating 1,000 pairs of socks to students in mountainous areas; and giving Tet gifts to families of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in Dai Loc district (Quang Nam province)...

Through the Spring Book and Newspaper Fair, the Organizing Committee hopes to provide the public with a comprehensive overview of the country's achievements in the fields of politics, economics, culture, society, national defense, and security; the achievements of Quang Ninh province with its 60 years of construction and development; and the cultural identity, customs, and traditions of the nation... contributing to spreading positive values ​​and creating confidence and excitement for the people and tourists in welcoming the new year.

The Spring Book and Newspaper Fair at the Quang Ninh Provincial Library will take place from February 3rd to March 1st (i.e., from the 24th day of the 12th lunar month to the 21st day of the 1st lunar month).
