On the afternoon of April 25th, Ca Mau province held a ceremony to announce the establishment of the Rice Museum and the architectural plan for a symbol honoring rice cultivation.

Attending the ceremony were: Comrade Nguyen Ho Hai, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Comrade Vo Van Dung, former Member of the Central Committee of the Party, former Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Internal Affairs Commission ; Comrade Nguyen Xuan Truong, Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; former provincial leaders from various periods; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee, and members of the Provincial Party Committee.

Provincial leaders attended the ceremony announcing the establishment of the Ca Mau Rice Museum.

This activity is part of the series of events for the Science , Technology - Culture, Tourism Week and the first "Delicious Rice of the Mekong Delta" Competition in 2026.

The museum will showcase themes related to land reclamation, the rice plant life cycle, agricultural tools from traditional to modern, the rural landscape of Southern Vietnam, and the rice-farming culture of Ca Mau and Bac Lieu provinces. It will also introduce culinary spaces, festivals, intangible cultural heritage, and organize experiential activities such as rice planting, milling, and pounding, allowing visitors to directly experience agricultural life.

In addition, a large-scale project honoring rice cultivation, featuring the image of "three grains of rice," will be implemented, linked with the image of a stork, a symbol of Vietnamese rural life, representing the diligence and dedication of farmers and the cultural blend of the three communities: Kinh, Hoa, and Khmer. The space inside the monument is expected to display OCOP products, high-quality rice, souvenirs, and artworks related to agriculture and rural life.
