On May 10th, at the headquarters of the Vietnam Writers Association , the Vietnam Writers Association, together with the family of poet Tham Tam, held a launch event for newly collected prose works by Tham Tam .

The prose works include: "Thâm Tâm Short Stories," 4 fairy tales, and the selected short story collection "Thấm Đọng in March" (published by Literature Publishing House), and "Thâm Tâm Novella" (People's Army Publishing House). In addition, Labor Publishing House and Linh Lan Company jointly published the trilogy of short story collections "Gió Thu Hoa Chưỡi Rồi" along with two novels, "Thuốc Mê" and "Nỗi Hồi Hận Dài," in 2023. Furthermore, Kim Đồng Publishing House published a children's book series consisting of three volumes: "Hai Cây Hoa Nhài" (a collection of fairy tales), "Thuồng Lộng Ở Nước" (a collection of historical fiction), and "Con Rùa Đội Mậu Mẹt" (a collection of fables).
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Vietnam Writers Association Nguyen Quang Thieu affirmed that Tham Tam was a great poet of his time. He passed away at a very young age, leaving behind many works that reflect the spirit of the era, powerful and impressive. Besides poetry, Tham Tam also possessed a vast body of prose, which further highlights his talent, dedication, and creative aspirations.
"The enormous volume of prose written during those years of famine, war, and disease, when the country was still facing so many calamities, allowed Tham Tam and writers of his generation and beyond to create a truly magnificent and glorious chapter in the history of Vietnamese literature," emphasized poet Nguyen Quang Thieu.
Chairman of the Vietnam Writers Association, Nguyen Quang Thieu, affirmed that Tham Tam is a great poet of the era.
Meanwhile, poet Tran Dang Khoa, Vice President of the Vietnam Writers Association, affirmed that, in his opinion, the three works "Tay Tien," "Tieng Thu," and "Tong Biet Hanh" are "unique masterpieces."
"The 'Farewell Song' stands apart from contemporary literature, distinct from the very style of poetry that Tham Tam himself possessed. And what's even more remarkable is that it had no successors afterward. That's the uniqueness of Tham Tam."
Poet Tran Dang Khoa, Vice President of the Vietnam Writers Association, affirmed that, in his opinion, "Tong Biet Hanh" is one of the "unique masterpieces".
"Although poetry has become a great career, Tham Tam is not just a poet; he also has a vast body of prose," affirmed poet Tran Dang Khoa.
Mr. Nguyen Tuan Khoa, son of the late poet Tham Tam, said that since 1999, writer Van Gia had collected quite a few stories and plays by Tham Tam published in the Saturday Novel magazine, stored them on microfilm, brought printed copies from the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Library to Hanoi , contacted the family, and proceeded to digitize and publish "Tham Tam's Short Stories," comprising 38 short stories and plays, in 2000.

To date, with the help of many individuals and organizations, the family of poet Tham Tam has collected 83 short stories and 29 short plays published in the Saturday Novel magazine (from 1939 to 1944), 27 novellas published in Truyen Ba, and two novels, "The Anesthetic" and "Long-Lasting Regret," published by Tan Dan. In addition, the family has also collected some of Tham Tam's poems from these publications.
