Launching Tax Portal to support entrepreneurs

(Chinhphu.vn) - On the morning of August 18 in Hanoi, the Tax Department (Ministry of Finance) officially announced the Tax Information Portal to support entrepreneurs. This is an important step to accelerate the modernization of tax management, supporting taxpayers conveniently and transparently.

Supporting entrepreneurs is a consistent goal

Implementing Resolution 68-NQ/TW of the Central Committee and the Politburo on private economic development, the Tax Department launched the Tax Information Portal to support entrepreneurs (http://hotroNNT.gdt.gov.vn).

This is an online platform that provides information, training materials, and tax policy guidance for individuals, business households, and enterprises.

The portal is considered an important step in the strategy of administrative reform and digital transformation of the Tax sector.

According to the Tax Department, the consistent goal is to "take taxpayers as the center of service", creating maximum convenience for people and businesses when fulfilling tax obligations.

Over the past years, the Tax sector has promoted the application of technology, deployed electronic invoices, eTax Mobile integrated with VNeID, iCanhan, or the use of citizen identification cards instead of tax codes. In addition, specialized information portals such as the Portal for foreign suppliers, the E-commerce Portal and the Portal to support individual businesses on digital platforms have also been put into operation.

This new portal is built with three main objectives : Helping taxpayers comply with their obligations with official information sources; applying technology and software, integrating with the tax payment portal; supporting capacity improvement, increasing revenue and profit to contribute more to the state budget.

The Portal's content is classified by target groups: individuals, business households and enterprises. The system will regularly update news, new policies, and specific instructions for each step in business registration, declaration, tax payment, and accounting book management.

In particular, the platform integrates artificial intelligence (AI) with consulting Chatbot to support users in management, operations and sales. In addition, a diverse knowledge base on finance, accounting, marketing, human resources and administration will help businesses and enterprises improve their capacity for sustainable development.

New milestone on the digital transformation journey

Within the framework of the announcement ceremony, the Tax Department and MISA Joint Stock Company signed a strategic cooperation memorandum.

According to the agreement, the Tax Department will take the lead and guide the entire operation. Meanwhile, MISA will provide technical advice, design infrastructure, build a digital learning resource, compile training materials and instructional videos. In addition, MISA will also coordinate to update, maintain and add in-depth content on governance, technology and sustainable development.

Director of the Tax Department Mai Xuan Thanh assessed: The signing ceremony and announcement of the "Tax Information Portal to support entrepreneurs" will be a new milestone in the process of comprehensively changing the method of supporting and serving people and businesses to comply with and implement tax laws. This is not only the first step for public-private cooperation in the field of tax administration, but also a testament to the determination of the Tax sector on the journey of transformation from management to serving taxpayers, towards a modern - transparent - friendly Tax sector.

In the context of the Government strongly implementing National Digital Transformation, the Tax Department especially focuses on building platforms to provide maximum support for enterprises, individuals, and individual business households. The Tax sector always determines : procedural reform and digital transformation not only aim to improve the effectiveness of State management, but also accompany and effectively support the community of taxpayers to increase voluntary compliance, create maximum convenience for taxpayers when performing tax obligations to the State while improving governance capacity, effectively applying technology for sustainable and effective development - in line with the guiding spirit of Resolution 68/NQ-TW on private economic development.

According to the Tax Department, the announcement and signing event not only opens a new milestone in tax administrative reform, but also affirms the determination of the Tax sector in accompanying the business community.

In the context that the private economic sector contributes about 50% of GDP, more than 30% of total budget revenue and creates jobs for 82% of the country's workforce, the need to support this group of people is increasingly urgent. Therefore, the Tax Information Portal to support entrepreneurs is expected to help businesses, business households and individuals comply better, while saving costs and time.

Based on modern technology, the Portal will update new tax policies, guide tax declaration and payment procedures, and answer questions. The detailed structure with separate folders for business households and converted enterprises, along with videos and forms, will help taxpayers easily access and comply with regulations.

The Tax Department also aims to build a comprehensive technology ecosystem: from information search, tax declaration, tax payment, to business administration. This not only enhances transparency but also creates a fair and transparent business environment, in line with the direction of Resolution 68-NQ/TW.
