Poet and journalist Tran Nhat Minh was born in 1981 in Ung Hoa district, Hanoi . He used to work for several newspapers and VTC Digital Television Station. After a period of fighting a serious illness, he passed away surrounded by family and friends, amidst the sound of guitar and lyrical songs like the poetic voice he left behind.
The late poet Tran Nhat Minh has published many works, and his first collection of poems, "Song in the Middle of the Field", soon impressed readers with his liberal and emotional writing style.
The book "Spring Remains" has a capacity of nearly 200 pages and is divided into 3 parts: Part 1 includes 81 poems selected by the late poet's family and friends, poets Nguyen Quang Hung, Do Anh Vu... Some of them were rewritten from the memories of friends, expressing the deep affection of friends for the author.
Part 2, titled "In the hearts of friends", is where friends, colleagues, and those who accompanied him in life and in poetry, leave their memories and feelings about the deceased poet.
Part 3 "Poetry set to music" includes 14 songs based on Tran Nhat Minh's poems, demonstrating the vitality of his poems that transcends the boundaries of language to spread into melody.

Although the passing of Tran Nhat Minh in the summer of 2024 was full of regret, there are still doors open for "spring" to remain in poetry and human emotions. When designing the book cover, artist Tran Thang chose the image of red cotton flowers inspired by his last poem in the collection: "Letter to Mother, March" - an image filled with contemplation, mood and emotion.
Feelings about poet Tran Nhat Minh, poet Nguyen Quang Hung expressed in the article entitled "More than 40 years of loving life": "Minh is not only about his hometown and family. His open-mindedness, and his journalism career with contacts, meetings, observations, and wanderings give him broader and further thoughts about life, people, and the journey of life. And somewhere, there is also a vague sense of the journey to destruction, and the way we accept it. As in the verses: 'I lock Light and Darkness together/ A vast me riding a boat over the waves/ Blossoming on the body/ Two complete colors...'.
According to poet Nguyen Quang Hung: "Such verses were written by Nhat Minh a long time ago, in the brilliance of his youth. Perhaps he had thought early on about the time limit of each person. Perhaps they were free-flowing imaginations in the sublimation of emotions. But the openness and flexibility of the images allow us to think of many more things."
And the verses are close to the moment he leaves this world, not wanting to accept it but also pushing a feeling of sadness. It is sad, but still waiting eagerly for new things to arise.
Doctor of Languages, poet Do Anh Vu, a close friend of Khanh Van Tran Nhat Minh, shared: "In Tran Nhat Minh, life and poetry are so intertwined that it is difficult to distinguish or separate them. I am tasked with writing about his poetry, but life stories keep trying to jump in...".
Poet Do Anh Vu recalls that his friend's life was also an endlessly thrilling and complicated story. Khanh Van writes poetry as if poetry had to come and be born. His friends love many of the poems he wrote during his student days, which were so natural and sweet that they immediately touched their hearts: "I return to the lake of love in the pale afternoon sun/The waves overflowing the shore chill my lips/Try to bend down to get closer to the memories/Try to find you in the crowd".
"Poetry talent is a gift from God, it cannot be forced. Compared to his peers, Tran Nhat Minh is the one who has many brilliant moments, to suddenly come up with magical verses: 'The hand of the person holding me, the wind lulls my silhouette' or 'On the full moon day, the incense lights are dim/One step and I miss the heavenly fate...", poet Do Anh Vu shared.
Journalist and poet Tran Hoang Thien Kim commented: Tran Nhat Minh is a "multi-personality" person because he can transform into many "roles" in the same person. As a poet, Nhat Minh is passionate about words, romantic in every sound of life. As a journalist, he works like... "crazy", today in this province, tomorrow in another city, with the tireless footsteps of a television editor.
"I love the feeling of sitting with Tran Nhat Minh and his friends, poets, because there is another Nhat Minh, whose heart only sings songs about love, about the meaning of life. Tran Nhat Minh belongs to the minority of poets who love and live their lives for their career and for poetry. At the busiest moment, his poetic soul is also stirred. And in the midst of the hustle and bustle of life, Minh sings 'The Song of the Fields', making listeners ponder and return to a kind and loving soul...", she wrote.
For musician Nhi Do, Tran Nhat Minh is not only a confidant but also a passionate person, always spreading joy to everyone. "From his hometown Van Dinh to Hanoi, he left special marks, living and creating memorable anecdotes. Besides his poetic talent, Minh also excels in many other fields, especially culinary arts. The banquets he prepares are not only a place to connect friends but also an endless source of inspiration. From here, poetry and music seem to flow, turning every moment of everyday life into works of art," the musician recalls.
According to him, there are many interesting things about Tran Nhat Minh, such as his talent for writing poetry right at the banquet table, creatively improvising but still full of charm. Even on long business trips, across Vietnam from south to north, from deep forests to the ocean, he is still the center of the fun, keeping the atmosphere always lively and fresh.
"Spring Stays" will be officially released to readers in the near future. The event is an opportunity for those who love Khanh Van Tran Nhat Minh to meet him again, through each verse, each musical note and many memories that are recalled.
In the midst of a blazing summer, his poetry is like a cool breeze, like the remaining colors of the last cotton flowers of the season, reminding us of the quiet yet brilliant beauty of a poet's soul. He has gone far away, but the "spring" of Khanh Van Tran Nhat Minh will always be there in his poetry, in his music, in the hearts of his family, friends and in the hearts of his readers.
