This project commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and the Reunification of the Country (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), and was undertaken by the Ho Chi Minh City Theatre Association over the past year.
The book was published by the Vietnam Writers Association Publishing House.

The book "Ho Chi Minh City Cai Luong Theatre 1975-2025," edited by People's Artist Tran Minh Ngoc and People's Artist Tran Ngoc Giau, is divided into four parts: Ho Chi Minh City Cai Luong Theatre: Looking back on a journey; The art of staging and performance; Creative elements in Cai Luong theatre; Artists and valuable lessons in acting.
The book also includes an appendix with portraits of Cai Luong (Vietnamese traditional opera) artists from Ho Chi Minh City from 1975 to 2025.

The book "Ho Chi Minh City Cai Luong Theatre 1975-2025" presents to readers 81 articles by nearly 30 researchers, literary and artistic critics, theatre experts, authors, playwrights, musicians, directors, etc., reflecting and highlighting issues, milestones, highlights, distinctive features, and typical events of Ho Chi Minh City's Cai Luong theatre throughout its 50-year journey of activity and development.
Furthermore, the study affirms the important role of Cai Luong, an art form deeply rooted in Southern Vietnamese culture. It also examines the value of Cai Luong literary scripts after 1975, the art of Cai Luong stage directing before and after liberation, Vietnamese Cai Luong history in the modern era, Cai Luong music, traditional opera dance, Cai Luong with young audiences, Cai Luong on television, and more.
This book compiles both general and detailed information about the city's Cai Luong (Vietnamese traditional opera) stage in its journey of activity and development with the times, truthfully reflecting the artistic life of Cai Luong theater over the past 50 years, and is a valuable resource to support research and preservation efforts.
