Dakrong District has 13 administrative units, with 78 villages and hamlets, and a population of 47,271 people. Ethnic minorities account for nearly 80% of the total population of the district, mainly the Van Kieu and Pa Ko people. In this survey, 12 out of 13 communes and towns and 34 residential areas were selected for data collection. Preparations for the survey have now been completed.
From today, along with the rest of the country, Dakrong district will enter the most crucial phase, which will determine the quality of the data: collecting field information throughout the entire district with many indicators related to population, labor, production and business activities, infrastructure, environment, etc.
According to information from the Quang Tri Provincial Statistics Department, the province has 5 districts/36 communes and towns with a total of 93 areas selected for household data collection. Preparation for this survey has been given due attention, from guidance and publicity to the recruitment of team leaders and enumerators.
44 enumerators were mobilized to compile lists, 90 surveyors were deployed to collect household questionnaires, and 34 team leaders will visit each household in the survey areas to conduct interviews and fill out CAPI survey forms. The survey is under the guidance and leadership of the government from the central level down to the provincial, district, and commune levels. This is a fairly large-scale survey with a wide range of subjects and survey units, complex and sensitive survey content, and a survey duration of several days.

To ensure the survey yields good results, the Director of the Provincial Statistics Department, Tran Anh Duong, requested the Statistics Sub-department, the Ethnic Affairs Department, and the People's Committees of communes and towns in Dakrong district to closely coordinate with the Party committees, government, relevant departments, and mass organizations to continue organizing effective and widespread dissemination of information, explaining the purpose and significance of the survey to cadres, Party members, and the entire population. This will create a vibrant atmosphere in the initial days of the campaign and encourage participation and cooperation in providing complete, accurate, and timely information.
