Sharing her thoughts after the competition, Le Huyen Trang said that participating was an opportunity to learn from experience, improve her skills, and affirm herself within the disciplined and creative work environment of her unit.

The Head of the Political Department, General Department of Logistics and Technical Services, and the Commander of Factory Z133 congratulate the contestants participating in the 2026 Mechanical Engineering Skilled Workers Competition.

In the CNC turning category, contestant Lai Phu Hiep, a CNC milling technician from the Precision Mechanical Workshop, impressed the judges with his fast programming skills, proficient operation, and flexible handling of unforeseen situations during machining. Without putting pressure on achieving high results, he focused on optimizing the production process, ensuring high accuracy in the shortest possible time. His confidence and professional skills helped him win first prize in the milling category. Speaking with us, Mr. Hiep said: “Participating in the competition has helped me become more confident in mastering modern equipment, and I’ve also gained more experience to apply effectively to my daily work.”

Seventeen contestants from four workshops, representing the key mechanical trades of Factory Z133, participated in the 2026 Skilled Workers Competition in both theoretical and practical categories. The theoretical section tested not only professional knowledge but also assessed political awareness, workplace safety awareness, and industrial work ethic; meanwhile, the practical section required contestants to apply a combination of skills to process products according to technical standards, ensuring the set deadlines and quality requirements.

Discussing the significance of the competition, Colonel Nguyen Nhu Hoa, Deputy Director, Chairman of the Trade Union of Factory Z133, and Head of the Organizing Committee, affirmed: The competition was determined by the Party Committee and commanders at all levels not simply as a movement activity, but also as an important content to realistically assess the quality of technical human resources in the Factory, thereby discovering and nurturing a team of skilled workers to meet the requirements of the mission in the new situation. In that spirit, from the very beginning, the Party Committee, commanders, and trade union of the Factory have intensified propaganda work, creating a vibrant atmosphere of competition; the "Skill Training, Skilled Worker Competition" movement quickly spread to each workshop and production team.

To ensure the competition achieved its objectives and requirements, the Organizing Committee proactively collaborated with the Vietnam-Korea Vocational College in Hanoi to develop a system of exam questions that ensured scientific rigor, objectivity, and relevance to real-world production. The exam content was designed to be open-ended, testing both professional competence and encouraging creative thinking, problem-solving skills, and technological proficiency among contestants, thereby contributing to improving the quality of training and development of technical human resources within the unit.

Clarifying the new aspects of the competition, Colonel Pham Quoc Tuan, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Company 133 (Z133 Factory), stated that this year's competition included an expanded judging panel comprising the Board of Directors of the Vietnam-Korea Vocational College in Hanoi and relevant agencies under the General Department of Logistics and Technical Services. The diverse judging panel contributed to ensuring objectivity, fairness, and accuracy in each evaluation round. According to the organizing committee, the contestants demonstrated a high sense of responsibility, effectively showcasing their skills and completing the competition with high results, clearly reflecting the effectiveness of the emulation movement to improve the quality of technical human resources within the factory. The competition's practical experience shows that the greatest value lies not only in the ranking results but also in discovering creative potential and building a successor team for the unit. Through this competition, Party committees and commanders at all levels have a basis for comprehensively assessing the capabilities of the technical workforce, promptly selecting highly skilled individuals with innovative thinking to further train and develop a high-quality workforce, meeting the requirements of military equipment production and repair in the new situation.

Evaluating the effectiveness of the competition, Colonel Nguyen Van Tuan, Deputy Head of Political Affairs of the General Department of Logistics and Technical Services, affirmed: The results of the competition continue to show that the "Excellent Labor, Creative Labor" and "Skill Training, Excellent Craftsman Competition" movements of the factory's trade union are being implemented effectively and practically; contributing to the cultivation and improvement of professional skills, and arousing the spirit of research and creativity among the soldier-workers. The competition also created a vibrant competitive atmosphere in the "Reviewing Theory, Practicing Skills, Excellent Craftsman Competition" movement at Factory Z133 in particular, and in units under the General Department of Logistics and Technical Services in general, creating a substantive training environment for the technical workers to become increasingly mature, confident in mastering modern science and technology, and meeting increasingly demanding task requirements.
