Despite the prolonged rainy weather, many families arrived at the temple early to participate in the festival. There, the children received adorable lanterns and enjoyed a cultural program featuring many special performances.
The children watched lion and dragon dances, listened to familiar folk melodies, and enjoyed a witty skit about the legend of the banyan tree and Cuoi by the Bac Son Love Song Troupe. In addition, lively performances by school art troupes and talent clubs created a joyful and exciting atmosphere.
On this occasion, the program awarded prizes to the winners of the "Letters to the Moon Goddess" contest. This activity, organized by the temple from September 22-28, helped children express their thoughts, feelings, and dreams through prose, poetry, and other forms of writing.
In addition, the temple also set up a buffet area with more than 30 food stalls to serve the people and children who came to participate.
The Mid-Autumn Festival is an annual event at An Tho Pagoda, now in its 10th year. The program not only brings joy to children but also spreads a message of filial piety and sharing. During the 2025 Mid-Autumn Festival, An Tho Pagoda donated approximately 1,500 gifts to children in the province.
