Disney California Adventure Park in the US has kicked off the 2024 Lunar New Year festival, with many fun art performances and festivals, along with diverse and attractive culinary parties.
The Lunar New Year celebration is held annually at Disneyland theme park in Anaheim, Southern California, and has attracted a large number of tourists from around the world in recent years.
The entire park is "transformed" into a fairyland with two main colors: bright red and bright yellow - the traditional colors of Tet in Eastern culture.
With Easterners considering 2024 as the Year of the Dragon, the theme of the Lunar New Year celebration at Disney California Park also revolves around the image of the Dragon - a symbol of health, luck and power.
Visitors to the park can stroll under the decorative lanterns and share messages of hope, health and happiness for the New Year on the Wish Wall. A special space decorated with bamboo, peach blossoms, yellow apricot blossoms, parallel sentences, New Year wishes... will also help visitors have impressive and memorable photos.
Chinese calligraphy performances and artworks depicting the 12 zodiac animals in Oriental culture also attract the attention of many tourists .
In addition, visitors can also attend the parade with the participation of legendary characters from the East such as warrior Mulan or intelligent dragon friend Mushu..., to honor family, friendship and look forward to a lucky year ahead.
Equally impressive in the Lunar New Year atmosphere at Disney California Park is the diverse and unique cuisine from Asian countries.
Vietnamese coffee was also introduced and received enthusiastic response from tourists at this event.
Visitors can write their New Year wishes on a card and hang it on the Wish Wall. For many Westerners, this is a great opportunity to learn about Eastern culture and help people broaden their worldview.
Nicky Tang, Director of Market and Marketing for Greater China and Southeast Asia at Disney Destinations, expressed his hope that many visitors will come to Disney California to participate in the Year of the Dragon activities, enjoy the Lunar New Year festival and truly experience the charm of traditional oriental culture.
The Lunar New Year Festival at Disney California Adventure Park will run through February 18.
