These days, visitors to the Tam Coc - Bich Dong tourist area not only admire the poetic beauty of the mountains and rivers, but also clearly feel the vibrant and bustling atmosphere of Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2026.
In the evenings, the Tam Coc boat dock area resonates with music and songs, attracting many locals and tourists to immerse themselves in the unique cultural atmosphere.
Against the backdrop of the shimmering boat docks, cultural and artistic exchange programs organized by Nam Hoa Lu ward in coordination with the Department of Culture and Sports created a vibrant highlight for Tam Coc at night. Performances of singing, dancing, folk dances, traditional opera, and modern folk dances, meticulously staged to celebrate the homeland, country, and people of Ninh Binh, contributed to promoting the image of the friendly, hospitable, and culturally rich ancient capital.

Ms. Pham Thi Thu Hien, President of the Women's Union of Nam Hoa Lu Ward, said: In response to Ninh Binh Tourism Week, the Women's Union of the ward organized a cultural exchange program featuring arts, folk dances, and performances with the theme "Healthy, Beautiful, and Graceful Dances" over three evenings, from May 27th to 29th.
The program featured the participation of 29 arts clubs from various residential areas. The members actively practiced and prepared meticulously, hoping to contribute to a joyful atmosphere; and at the same time, spread the image of dynamic, graceful, and responsible women of Nam Hoa Lu in preserving and promoting local cultural identity.
The art scene on the Tam Coc wharf at night has a unique charm. Many tourists enjoy capturing moments of folk performances, the sounds of traditional opera drums, folk songs, and the vibrant costumes of amateur but passionate performers.
Ms. Tran Thi Thu Huyen, a tourist from Hanoi, shared: “I have been to Tam Coc many times, but this time the experience was very different. In the evening, the boat dock was lively, with art performances, lights, and enthusiastic participation from the locals. That made the trip even more memorable.”

Beyond cultural and artistic activities, Tam Coc at night is also bustling with shopping, food, and tourism services. Along the roads around the tourist area, rows of restaurants, cafes, and souvenir shops are brightly lit until late at night. Friendly greetings, conversations among tourists, the sounds of passing vehicles, and music from the stage create a sleepless rhythm of life at the gateway to the heritage site.
The roadside cafes are decorated with lanterns and colorful string lights, creating a dazzling atmosphere that attracts tourists to stop after a day of sightseeing. Many families and groups of friends choose to sit with a cup of coffee, enjoy local cuisine, watch the people go by, and experience Tam Coc, which is both peaceful and vibrant. This atmosphere contributes to extending the length of stay, enhancing the tourist experience, and opening up opportunities for the development of the local night-time economy.
Mr. Dinh Van Nguyen, owner of Cao Nguyen restaurant in Nam Hoa Lu ward, shared: During the Tourism Week, the number of visitors to the area was very high, especially in the evenings. His family and many other businesses proactively tidied up their service spaces, arranged their business areas neatly, organized vehicles, and ensured traffic safety and order.
"A large influx of tourists is a joy for those in the service industry, but business must be civilized and comply with regulations. We regularly remind our staff to provide attentive and friendly service, without soliciting or causing inconvenience to tourists. For long-term tourism development, the most important thing is to maintain the beautiful image of Tam Coc," Mr. Nguyen said.
Since the beginning of the year, the Tam Coc - Bich Dong tourist area has welcomed an average of about 2,000 visitors per day, with international tourists accounting for over 55%. The large number of visitors, especially during tourism events, is both a positive sign for socio-economic development and places high demands on ensuring security, traffic safety, environmental hygiene, and appropriate conduct, particularly in the evenings.

Lieutenant Colonel Vu Le Thai, Deputy Head of the Nam Hoa Lu Ward Police, stated: "The Tam Coc - Bich Dong tourist area is a popular destination for tourists, including many international visitors, and has a high volume of traffic. Therefore, it poses many potential security and order challenges if not managed proactively and effectively."
“The ward police force has developed plans to ensure security and order at different times; maintaining continuous patrols and controls 24/7; strengthening traffic flow management and deploying forces in key areas. The goal is to promptly handle any arising situations, preventing traffic congestion and ensuring the safety of residents and tourists,” said Lieutenant Colonel Vu Le Thai.
Along with the police force, the ward authorities also intensified propaganda and mobilization efforts to encourage households, businesses, boat drivers, and tourism service units to sign commitments to strictly comply with regulations on security and order, traffic safety, and cultural conduct. Regulations on road and waterway traffic; and the implementation of civilized practices in business and tourism services, such as not harassing or bothering tourists, are regularly disseminated, contributing to building a safe, friendly, and civilized tourism environment.
During the day, Tam Coc is captivating with its golden rice paddies and the winding Ngo Dong River flowing through the mountains. At night, it transforms into a different place, shimmering, vibrant, and full of emotion with its attractive tourist attractions. During those sleepless nights in Tam Coc, the message of Ninh Binh as a safe, friendly, and culturally rich area continues to spread widely to friends both domestically and internationally.
