– Continuing to affirm the position of the capital “Hanoi – Come to love”, a safe, friendly and attractive tourist destination; Hanoi Department of Tourism presides over and coordinates with the People's Committee of Ba Dinh Ward to organize the program “Ba Dinh Red” – a series of activities to promote cultural and historical tourism in Hanoi 2025 with an atmosphere of joy, national pride and the desire to learn about cultural, historical and tourism events in the capital. The program takes place from August 30 to September 2.
The development of cultural and historical tourism products not only expands the experience space and improves service quality, but also promotes related industries such as cuisine , entertainment, and media, contributing to shaping a complete, unique, and high-quality tourism space; thereby effectively connecting the system of cultural and historical destinations in Hanoi.
The Opening Ceremony of the Program will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 30 at the Main Stage in the space of Truc Bach walking street, Ba Dinh ward with special art programs, typical of the Capital and screening of films promoting Hanoi's cultural and historical tourism and promoting tourism products in Ba Dinh ward.
In addition to the rich features in each cultural space, experiences such as space to admire the beautiful scenery at some tourist attractions around the event area; Space for taking photos with miniature landscapes, resonant decorations, connecting points in the street area; Space for the Exhibition of Cultural History of 80 years of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam... diverse areas of booths. The special program brings activities such as:
* Activities under the theme “Heritage Road” will include:
– Visit and offer incense at the following relics: Quan Thanh Temple, Thuy Trung Tien Temple, An Tri Communal House;
– Visit and experience the product display booths on Truc Bach street and according to different themes on 04 2-storey tram cars of the Metro Line 6 project "Pho Car, Subsidy Car, Rice Car, Tea and Coffee Car".
– Experience Hanoi culinary festival: Experience area of old Hanoi culinary memories; Ngu Xa – Ba Dinh culinary space; Vietnamese street food space.
– Independent art performance series: Contemporary traditional art performance program “Ca Tru” at An Tri Communal House; Interactive street art performance program scheduled to be held on the evenings of August 31, September 1 and 2
– The colorful and diverse photo-taking space stretches along the street, becoming an attractive destination for tourists.
* Interactions with “Independent Stations” include:
– Hot water supply station for people
– Vietnam flag exchange station
– “Save your feelings” station: The large board is where visitors can write or draw their feelings about Independence, Freedom, love for the Fatherland….
– Station for introducing and experiencing green tourism and digital tourism in Hanoi.
The series of cultural and historical tourism activities in Hanoi 2025 with the theme "Red Ba Dinh" is an important tourism promotion event of the capital, aiming to honor cultural and historical values, spread patriotism, arouse national pride, and affirm the image of Hanoi as creative and rich in identity.
In the vibrant atmosphere of celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, Hanoi has recorded impressive growth in tourism.
In August 2025 alone, the capital welcomed about 3.18 million visitors, an increase of 27.5% over the same period last year.
In August, international visitors reached 709,22 thousand arrivals, up 42.6%, including 500 thousand overnight stays.
The number of domestic visitors also increased sharply, reaching 2.47 million, bringing total tourism revenue in the month to VND12.54 trillion, 31.5% higher than in August 2024.
In the first 8 months of 2025, Hanoi is estimated to welcome 21.58 million visitors, an increase of 13.9% over the same period last year.
