Saigontourist Group and Satra sign strategic cooperation

On the evening of December 27th, at the Grand Saigon Hotel, Saigontourist Group and Satra held a signing ceremony for a strategic cooperation agreement for the period 2023-2028. Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, was in attendance.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Truong Duc Hung, General Director of Saigontourist Group, said that the strategic cooperation between the two sides marks an important milestone, bringing many benefits to both parties, and is especially significant in the current recovery and development phase of the service, tourism , and trade sectors.

Mr. Lam Quoc Thanh, General Director of Satra, also shared that the signing of the strategic cooperation agreement between the two entities is an important step in creating synergy, effectively exploiting resources, and thereby bringing mutual benefits.

According to Mr. Thanh, the two units will leverage each other's strengths to jointly enhance marketing and brand building; explore, utilize, and develop new products and services to expand the retail and tourism markets; and provide better customer experiences.

Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Dung and other delegates witnessed the signing of the agreement between the two parties.

According to Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Dung, Saigontourist Group and Satra are two major economic entities of the city, possessing strengths and potential in the fields of tourism and trade. Each side has its own strengths, and through this cooperation program, both can leverage them into a combined force for development.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, after this cooperation program, in addition to independent development orientations, both sides should reiterate the signed agreement each year to introduce each other's products. The Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee also suggested that Saigontourist Group should explore cooperation with units that Ho Chi Minh City's tourism sector has already partnered with to share resources and thereby build a strong and thriving economy.

The purpose of this cooperation program is to strengthen strategic linkages and cooperation between the two sides to expand markets and increase revenue; support promotional activities and participation in each other's activities. The cooperation program is expected to contribute to making tourism a key economic sector, creating momentum for socio-economic development in Ho Chi Minh City and the entire country.

Established on August 1, 1975, Saigontourist Group currently manages over 100 properties including hotels, resorts, restaurants, travel agencies, entertainment venues, tourism training schools, exhibition and conference centers, golf courses, cable television, and more.

Established on November 2, 1995, with only 27 member companies, Satra has now developed into a strong economic group, operating in multiple sectors but specializing in trade and services, manufacturing and processing, and import and export, comprising more than 50 member companies.
