According to a report from Ice Universe on social network Weibo, Samsung plans to push the launch time of the Galaxy S24 smartphone line to January 2024, at the Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event.
Samsung has yet to officially reveal any details about the Galaxy S24 series, but recent leaks suggest that Samsung is planning to use the Exynos 2400 chip for the variants launching in Asia, Africa, and Europe, while the variants in Canada, China, and the US will come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. The product has up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of internal storage. Notably, the Galaxy S24 series is said to come with a main camera of up to 200 MP, combined with other secondary lenses such as telephoto and ultra-wide.
The Galaxy S24 series could also feature much brighter displays, with the top-of-the-line Galaxy S24 Ultra expected to feature a 6.8-inch display with a resolution of 3120 x 1440 pixels and a brightness of up to 2500 nits. Additionally, Samsung is likely to ditch the curved display on the Galaxy S24 Ultra, marking a major departure from the curved display design on previous products.
Design isn't the only thing changing with the Galaxy S24 series, which is due to launch early next year. Early leaks suggest Samsung may also be changing its marketing strategy by ditching the Plus models to make it easier for people to differentiate between the two.
However, there's still a long way to go before the Galaxy S24 series launches, and by then, there should be a lot more information about the Galaxy S24 devices.
