Samsung is about to launch the affordable flagship Galaxy S26 FE.

The Galaxy S26 FE could become Samsung's next "affordable flagship" as it boasts a premium look but at a more accessible price.

Samsung is planning a busy end to 2026 with many new Galaxy products. While the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Z Fold8 Ultra are expected to attract attention, another product receiving interest in the "affordable flagship" segment is the Galaxy S26 FE.

Although the official launch date is still several months away, a third-party case manufacturer has listed protective cases for the Galaxy S26 FE, giving users a first look at the product's design. Specifically, the product appears to inherit the design language of the Galaxy S26, with flat edges, a raised camera module, and a clean front with a punch-hole camera in the center. The back of the phone has three cameras, similar to the regular Galaxy S26.

The Galaxy S26 FE's screen has a flat design, with bezels similar to the Galaxy S25 FE. The volume buttons and power button are located on the right side, a familiar position. The design doesn't offer many new features, unlike what many people expected from a product with a style different from the regular version.

What makes the Galaxy S26 FE so appealing?

Leaked images suggest the Galaxy S26 FE may support Qi2 wireless charging, with magnetic charging rings on the case. However, since the high-end Galaxy S26 series also doesn't feature Qi2 magnets, it's likely that Qi2 charging will only work through a compatible case.

Regarding colors, the Galaxy S26 FE will likely launch with purple, black, and gray options. However, these are just initial renders from third parties, so the final colors may differ.

In terms of specifications, the Geekbench listing shows that the device will be equipped with an Exynos 2500 chip, similar to the one in the Galaxy Z Flip7. Additionally, it may feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display and a 4,900 mAh battery. While this configuration isn't particularly outstanding and is expected for a mid-range to high-end smartphone, the success of the Galaxy S26 FE upon launch will depend on the price Samsung sets.
