"The oldest studio in Ho Chi Minh City"

The Ho Chi Minh City Museum (5 Ly Tu Trong Street, District 1) is a popular spot for young people to check in and is often referred to as "the oldest photo studio in Ho Chi Minh City".

Sharing some tips for taking photos at the Ho Chi Minh City Museum area, Nguyen Ha Thuong (21 years old), a photographer at "My Photo Studio," said: "Regarding clothing, I've noticed that people often wear evening gowns with flared skirts and cinched waists, preferably in red or black... because the museum grounds are quite large, so these outfits will highlight the figure and not feel overwhelmed by the background."

Thuong added that with the types of outfits mentioned, it's best to photograph them in the afternoon, when the light is harsher and more intense, creating high contrast. The overall effect of these photos will be wide-angle, majestic, mysterious, captivating, and often impressive due to their composition. If you're wearing a traditional Vietnamese dress or a light white dress, you should photograph them in the morning or at noon, when sunlight filters through the windows into the museum, creating brightness and a touch of sparkle.

According to Thuong, you should use a wide-angle camera to capture the entire museum scene; besides the wide-angle, the staircase, the windows at the front and back of the museum, and the cars in front of the gate are all very beautiful spots to take photos. "When you come here, you should avoid wearing overly revealing clothes, don't lean on objects without permission, and carefully queue up to take pictures," Thuong said.

The entrance fee to the Ho Chi Minh City Museum is 30,000 VND per person. An additional fee will apply if you bring a camera. Students with student ID cards receive a 50% discount on the entrance fee.
