Apple's new product has been revealed.

Accordingly, the source code of iOS 18.6 beta reveals that Apple is developing a Home Hub device with a screen design similar to the iPad, used to control smart home devices, supporting FaceTime, and capable of being wall-mounted.

This product is said to have a screen size similar to the iPad Mini. The product line is designed to be a multi-functional home assistant, combining elements of the iPad and a smart speaker.

However, the Apple Home Hub's screen will likely have a lower resolution than the iPad's. This is considered perfectly suitable for most use cases, as users will be viewing the device from a distance. Additionally, lower-resolution screens are also cheaper to manufacture.

Apple's entry into the smart home device race could face fierce competition from rival Google. Currently, the search giant has established a diverse smart home ecosystem, supporting connectivity with many third-party devices.
