"Consumption Stimulation Fair, Shopping Connection and Vietnamese - Thai Cuisine 2024" opened on the afternoon of April 27

The fair has over 300 booths of more than 200 enterprises inside and outside the province participating in selling and promoting many products such as textiles, fashion , leather shoes, agricultural - forestry - seafood, consumer goods, food, beverages, information technology, telecommunications, interior decoration, handicrafts, office equipment and school supplies; wooden products, products serving the tourism industry, etc.

In particular, at the fair, the Department of Industry and Trade has prioritized many booths for businesses and production facilities in Long An province with OCOP-recognized products to participate in displaying, promoting and selling products.

This is one of the major trade activities of the year organized by the Department of Industry and Trade to encourage production and business establishments to participate in order to promote local product brands, introduce potentials, strengths, and socio-economic achievements that localities have achieved in recent years, especially in the fields of agriculture , industry and trade.

OCOP products displayed at the fair include spring rolls and Chinese sausages of Kim Ngoc Food Spring Roll Company Limited (Nhon Thanh Trung Commune, Tan An City); Bags and straws made from sedge grass of Mien Tay Xanh Production Company Limited (Tan Chanh Commune, Can Duoc District), freeze-dried fruits of Thai Y Phuong Company Limited (Tan Thanh Commune, Thu Thua District), HP Cordyceps mushrooms (Thanh Phu Commune, Ben Luc District), honey of Phung Lanh Business Household (Vinh Loi Commune, Tan Hung District), many products processed from Moringa leaves of Vuon Nha Minh Facility (Tan Binh Commune, Tan Tru District), etc.

Mr. Luu Minh Phung, owner of Phung Lanh business, shared that by participating in this fair, in addition to the desire to promote products, the facility also wants to connect with many businesses to expand production scale, increase sales, and create stable jobs for local people.

Currently, Mr. Phung's family has 3 main products serving the market: cajuput honey, longan honey and fresh turmeric soaked in honey. The family is raising 250 bee colonies to produce honey. On average, each year, the family produces about 2,000 liters of honey. Previously, the family's production scale was small, sold locally, but thanks to support from the Department of Industry and Trade, which created conditions for participating in many fairs and exhibitions, the family has more honey distribution points, Mr. Phung shared./.
