Quang Ninh enterprises actively prepare diverse OCOP products, improve quality, and meet people's shopping needs on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2025.
The New Year and Lunar New Year 2025 are approaching, people's shopping needs are increasing. In this situation, enterprises, cooperatives, and OCOP product production facilities (One Commune One Product Program) in Quang Ninh province are actively preparing goods to meet people's consumption needs. With the strength of oyster products such as oyster floss, fresh oysters, oyster shrimp chips, dried oysters, oyster powder, etc., Quang Ninh Seafood Production and Trading Company Limited (Van Don district) has planned production from the beginning of the fourth quarter of 2024. The company focuses on human resources, ensures the supply of raw materials and increases output by 15-20% compared to the previous year. To maintain consumer trust, the company maintains a closed production process, ensuring absolute hygiene, food safety and preserving the best nutritional value. In addition to its core products, the company has also developed many new product lines such as Co To dried squid, Van Don dried cowfish, dried anchovies, and half-frozen oysters to meet diverse needs. In particular, the company has actively participated in domestic and international fairs such as the Shanghai International Import and Export Fair, the 8th China-South Asia Fair, and the Kunming Import and Export Commodities Fair to promote products and trade.

Binh Lieu vermicelli, one of the typical OCOP products of Quang Ninh, is always popular at the end of the year. Notably, in May 2024, this product was recognized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade as a typical rural industrial product in the Northern region. This is an important milestone affirming the quality and brand of Binh Lieu vermicelli in the market. Mr. Nguyen Xuan Tung, Deputy Director of Binh Lieu Trading and Service Joint Stock Company, shared: “We apply science and technology from the stages of preserving raw materials, processing to packaging finished products, ensuring adequate supply all year round. In particular, at the end of the year, the demand for vermicelli for traditional dishes increases sharply. Therefore, we have increased output by 20-30%, while focusing on innovating packaging and designs in a modern style but still imbued with national identity.” These improvements help the product not only serve daily consumption but also become a meaningful gift during Tet. Not only processed products, agricultural products and fresh food are also carefully prepared. Tan An chicken farm (Quang Yen town), although affected by storm No. 3, quickly overcame the damage, stabilizing production and the supply chain. In addition, the farm also invested in upgrading the preservation system to ensure eggs are always fresh and meet food hygiene and safety standards. Ms. Pham Thi Nguyet Dung, the farm owner, said: "The consumption market is currently down slightly by 5-10% compared to last year, but demand is expected to increase sharply by the end of the year. We have stocked up on animal feed, mobilized human resources and strictly managed the farming process to ensure the supply of 50,000-52,000 eggs per day during peak times." In recent years, OCOP products have increasingly won the trust of consumers thanks to their stable quality and variety of designs. At the end of the year, businesses and cooperatives in the province have focused on increasing production scale and improving packaging to attract customers. At the same time, they have promoted marketing through many channels, from participating in fairs, direct promotion to introducing products on e-commerce platforms. These efforts not only help people have more choices, ensure food safety but also contribute to stabilizing the market during Tet. With careful preparation from production facilities, Quang Ninh OCOP products are ready to meet the increased consumer demand during the New Year and Lunar New Year .
