The star of the TV series Emily in Paris has passed away due to ALS.

VTV.vn - Pierre Deny, the veteran French actor who played fashion mogul Louis de Léon in the Emily in Parsi series, has passed away at the age of 69.

Pierre Deny's family stated that he died from ALS, a progressive neurological disease affecting cells in the brain and spinal cord, causing loss of muscle control. According to the Mayo Clinic, the disease impairs a patient's ability to breathe, speak, and move, leading to complete paralysis. Earlier this year, actor Eric Dane, star of popular television series such as Grey's Anatomy and Euphoria, also passed away from the disease. Singer Roberta Flack was also struck down by ALS three years after diagnosis. Several other artists have lived with the severe risks and effects of ALS.

Pierry Deny appeared in the third and fourth seasons of Emily in Paris , playing the CEO of a giant fashion corporation and the father of Nicholas de Léon (played by Paul Forman).

Previously, the actor had appeared in over 500 episodes of the long-running television series Demain nous Appartien , as well as numerous other films in France.
