According to meteorological experts, regions across the country have a probability of more than 60-70% of rain, moderate rain, and heavy rain in the coming days.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting informed that on the night of June 5 and June 6, many places in the Northern, Central, Central Highlands and Southern regions continued to have widespread showers and thunderstorms, with some areas having heavy to very heavy rain. By 3:00 p.m. on June 6, the rainfall in Luc Yen (Yen Bai) was 127mm, Gia Phu (Lao Cai) 113mm, Minh Quang (Vinh Phuc) 212mm, Bao Loc (Lam Dong) 166mm, Ha Mon (Kon Tum) 108mm, Pleiku ( Gia Lai ) 112mm...

It is forecasted that from this evening, June 6 to the evening of June 8, the Central Highlands and the South will have moderate to heavy rain, and in some places very heavy rain (reaching over 150mm). Heavy rain will occur mainly in the afternoon and evening.

From the night of June 6 to June 7, the Northern and Central regions will also have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some areas experiencing heavy rain but only over 60mm. Then, from the night of June 7 to around June 13, a widespread heavy rain may occur in the North and Thanh Hoa due to the impact of the low pressure trough.

It is forecasted that widespread thunderstorms and localized heavy rains in the Central Highlands and the South will likely continue for many more days. The meteorological agency recommends that localities be on guard against the risk of flash floods, landslides and flooding; especially against heavy rains in a short period of time causing flooding in urban areas as happened in Dong Nai province on the afternoon of June 4.
