| Trade Promotion: Unleashing the "Flow" of Agricultural Exports - October Meeting on Trade Promotion with the System of Trade Offices Abroad |
On the afternoon of November 1st, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry - Ho Chi Minh City branch (VCCI), in collaboration with Lien Minh Wood Handicraft Joint Stock Company, held an information session about the 15th Vietnam International Furniture and Handicraft Export Fair (VIFA EXPO) 2024 and the Vietnam-ASEAN International Furniture and Handicraft Export Fair (VIFA ASEAN) 2024.
The Organizing Committee announced that the 15th VIFA EXPO will take place from February 26-29, 2024, at the Sky Expo International Exhibition and Convention Center (District 12, Ho Chi Minh City). This is the pioneering fair in the series of the largest furniture trade fairs in Asia in 2024. VIFA EXPO is expected to attract more than 600 participating businesses with over 2,000 booths, bringing together a large number of reputable suppliers and manufacturers of furniture, handicrafts, and decorative products from Vietnam and other countries. Vietnamese businesses will account for 46% and foreign businesses for 54%. Furniture products will account for 60% of the exhibits, while decorative products, handicrafts, machinery, accessories, and services will make up the remaining 40%.

VIFA EXPO will include activities such as industry seminars and factory tours.
In addition, the 2nd VIFA ASEAN Fair will also be held at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in August 2024. The fair is expected to attract over 400 participating businesses with more than 1,200 booths, notably with the participation of ASEAN countries.
The organizers hope that the program will contribute to boosting the export of Vietnamese wood and handicrafts to developed countries, given the current difficulties and ongoing recovery of the wood and handicraft industry.
In fact, in challenging circumstances, regularly participating in domestic and international trade fairs not only helps businesses find new customers and markets but also allows them to learn practical experiences from manufacturers and traders around the world .
For example, the VIFA ASEAN 2023 trade fair brought together 198 businesses from 10 countries and territories worldwide, attracting 9,438 visitors. Within the framework of the 2023 fair, three specialized seminars and factory tours were held in Binh Duong , providing businesses with numerous opportunities to network and learn from each other's experiences.
Notably, VIFA ASEAN 2023 features the participation of two global e-commerce giants, Alibaba and Amazon, providing information to support businesses in expanding opportunities for international market integration through cross-border e-commerce exports.
Previously, VIFA EXPO 2023 (March 2023) welcomed over 18,000 visitors, including nearly 6,000 visitors from 117 countries around the world. The organizers recorded a value of nearly 100 million USD in orders signed at the fair.
