Serious landslide, two-story house collapsed into Gam River

Due to the impact of prolonged heavy rain after recent storms, on the morning of October 13, in Pac Sap village, Bac Me commune, a serious landslide occurred, causing the solid two-story house of Mr. Tran Van Tuong's family to slide down the Gam river bank.

The house is worth over 1 billion VND, a large asset of the family after many years of working and saving. Before the landslide occurred, the Civil Defense Command of Bac Me commune discovered cracks and a risk of landslides in the area, promptly mobilizing police, military , militia and local people to help move belongings to a safe place. Fortunately, the incident did not cause any human casualties.

Pac Sap village area is still at high risk of landslides. Previously, at this location, 2 houses also collapsed onto the Gam river bank. Bac Me commune authorities are continuing to monitor, warn and coordinate with relevant agencies to develop a plan to evacuate and ensure the safety of the people.

Bac Me commune leaders visited and supported Tran Van Tuong's family.

Immediately after the incident, the leaders of Bac Me commune visited, encouraged and gave initial support of 10 million VND to help Tran Van Tuong's family overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives. The local Party Committee and government continued to review and apply appropriate support policies, while strengthening propaganda and mobilizing people to proactively prevent and promptly respond to the risk of landslides during the rainy and stormy season.
