Dong Van Regional General Hospital is located in Dong Van commune. In recent years, the hospital has trained many human resources with specialized expertise and qualifications, and deployed many high-tech and new technical services. Every year, the unit achieves and exceeds 100% of assigned targets and tasks. New technical services are increasingly deployed, training, remote consultation, direct consultation via phone, zalo with experts at provincial and central levels are always carried out regularly. From 2020 to present, the hospital has registered and deployed 488 new technical services.
The 3 billion VND retrograde endoscopic laser lithotripsy machine is a high-tech device that helps treat small and medium sized ureteral, bladder, and kidney stones without open surgery. This technique uses laser energy to break stones into small pieces, helping patients reduce pain, have fewer complications, recover quickly, and shorten hospital stays.
Along with the investment in equipment, Dong Van Regional General Hospital has received direct technical transfer from doctors of Ha Giang General Hospital, along with training guidance from experts of E Hospital and Hanoi Medical University, to introduce the retrograde urinary stone lithotripsy endoscopic surgery machine using Laser to ensure safety and effectiveness when deployed. After a period of training and practical guidance, the team of doctors of Dong Van Regional General Hospital has mastered the technical process, successfully performed the first lithotripsy, ensuring safety and effectiveness for patients.

Speaking at the ceremony, Director of the Department of Health Nguyen Thanh Hung acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the hospital staff in proactively learning, receiving and implementing new techniques in medical examination and treatment. He emphasized: The Department of Health will continue to direct and support units to expand the application of specialized techniques, in order to reduce the burden on the upper level and improve the quality of medical examination and treatment for the people. At the same time, he hopes that the staff and doctors will continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, constantly improve their professional capacity, helping people in mountainous and border areas enjoy modern, safe and effective medical services right at the facility.
