Following a large explosion, thick smoke and flames erupted at a car garage in Can Tho.

At approximately 10:15 AM on February 28th, residents heard a loud explosion emanating from an auto repair and parts sales facility located on 3/2 Street, Hung Loi Ward, Ninh Kieu District, Can Tho City.

Then, thick smoke and flames rose intensely, with a column of smoke reaching tens of meters high. Upon receiving the report, the Can Tho City Police Fire Department dispatched fire trucks and personnel to the scene to extinguish the fire. By 11:00 AM, the smoke and flames were still rising fiercely.

At 11:50 AM , smoke was still rising from the scene of the fire. Authorities were still actively spraying water to extinguish the flames. A section of 3/2 Street was blocked off to facilitate firefighting efforts. Nearly 100 police officers and soldiers were present at the scene...

The fire was brought under control after more than 12 hours . The garage suffered extensive damage.
