| Over the past period, Thai Nguyen has continuously invested in electricity infrastructure, especially in remote and disadvantaged villages and hamlets in the province. |
Recently, as the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026 approached, the people of Coc Dien village, Phuc Loc commune, were overjoyed when the Ba Be Area Power Management Team installed power lines and equipment to bring electricity to their households. At the moment the power was switched on, the lights in the houses of Coc Dien shone brightly, igniting hope and aspirations for a better, more prosperous life for the villagers.
Besides Coc Dien, in 2025, many highland villages and hamlets in Thai Nguyen province will have access to the national power grid. Accordingly, last year, the entire province implemented 28 power grid and power source projects, of which 4 projects have been completed and put into operation, and 12 projects are under construction on schedule. The remaining projects, despite difficulties regarding land acquisition, land procedures, and planning, have been expedited by relevant authorities and agencies.
In reality, investment in electricity infrastructure, especially in remote and disadvantaged villages, has brought very positive effects to Thai Nguyen province. Besides ensuring electricity security, the national power grid has also promoted economic transformation and improved the quality of life for the people, enabling them to use appliances such as televisions, refrigerators, fans, rice cookers, and washing machines. Significantly, bringing electricity to the province's remote villages has created a solid foundation and opened up new opportunities for ethnic minority communities. Particularly in economic development, many households have boldly invested in rice milling machines; irrigation systems for crops; and modern livestock farming with heating systems and fans.
